One Year & Over Part 67
and it's a big hi from me too. Feeling a way lot muchly better today- making connections with humans. The last month was a write-off, productivity -wise speaking. I felt guilty about this- but sometimes just enough- IS enough.
Again- learning comes in leaps and bounds. I AM making progress, although somedays fighting depressions sees me crawling, not running with progress..but that is ok.
My metaphor for today is- I f me being perfectly healed and at one with the universe is the equivalent of $10,000, each time I know I have grown a little- that is another 5c deposit. Long ways to go.

PJ, happy to hear you are feeling better! I find that changing and growing don’t stop until we do.
Suze, lucky you to be in one of the first cities to get 5G cell towers!
Have a good Tuesday, Overs.

Mags, I will leave the technical details to Itchy but I don’t think you can compare radio antennas to cellular antennas.
Itchy, it’s official: I am finally beginning to accept that I can no longer keep up with all of the newer tech :scared:

Sassy, when you said that I thought , I can be so daft sometimes!

Hello, Overs...
Just popping in to send an SR based 6 YEAR CLEAN AND SOBER shoutout to my good friend in recovery, DG. Big congrats, Drummer Girl...simply put, you rock this recovery journey that we've been sharing!
Life is good here in Florida for me. About to pass 8 months in a relationship with an amazing woman and I still remain most grateful for every day that sobriety offers.
Best to all.
Carlos
PS: Sooo miss Kathy.

Morning Overs
Cold here today, my cats didn’t stay out long and the stray cat’s fur is so cold. There are plenty of garages and outbuildings for him to keep warm and dry in though. I feed him and deflea him but he is an outside cat, he won’t come in and has around five of us in the village who feed him. Hopefully he is happy.
Itchy, hope your move is going well.
I’ve downloaded some books to my kindle app so going to be kept busy reading today, and moving about.
Enjoy your day, my friends xx

This is going to be repeated a few times, but I can not think of any other way to share- without being dramatic.
The CNC of the Burns Unit rang me today. I present myself for admission first thing tomorrow morning- for surgery tomorrow. Depending on what they find once they have 'had a look', I will be an inpatient anywhere from 1, to 7 nights. The nature of scarring, biopolymer skin, contracture and what muscle is left means the surgeon guy needs to assess it again, first.
At present I am very distracted, edgy and trying not to think about the first long haul I had- when this all started- flashbacks, NDE's, and my all time fav- donor site pain- all the cool stuff.
So it is likely will be off the grid tomorrow...depending- it is 1730 the day before tomorrow here.
I am at present eating chocolate biscuits for tea fast from 0200.

Best of luck, PJ! We're all with you, bud.
Hi, Carlos!
Today is Day 50 post-op and that gas bubble is STILL hanging in there. I honestly thought it would be gone by now, but I guess I don't have much say in the matter!
Looks like a big storm headed our way the next couple of days. We are right on the rain/snow line. So far they say 1-2 inches of snow, but it's too close to call right now. Mother nature teased us with 72F on Monday, now old man winter is making one last gasp.
Have a Happy Hump-Day, overs!

Carlos, congrats!
(((PJ)))! Although it’s good that the waiting is over, I get that it’s very scary. I’ll be thinking of you and sending all good thoughts your way.
FBL, sorry you are waiting so long for the bubble to disappear. You have been very patient.
Mags, it’s been chilly here also. We had a bit of snow yesterday
Hi Toots, Andy, SG, Suze, CK and everyone!

Hi Toots, Andy, SG, Suze, CK and everyone!
Thanks all for the congrats. However, I've not made six years yet. Still a couple of months to travel until that happens.
I was sending congrats on six years to DG, aka, Drummer Girl. We're in touch outside SR, but, I thought if she popped in here she'd see a congrats.
So, Toots...six years and still ticking. Congrats, my dear on the time and especially for your continued commitment with undies.
Off to see a man about a horse. Good day, all.
