This AV voice is a little louder now, creepily saying "you can be a social drinker like other people." So, I have gone back and read my early posts as well as the journal entries about withdrawal in my early days of sobriety.

Daily meditation for all of us: "I'm celebrating our common release from the hell of drinking in the next twenty-four hours."
AA sounds like a very addition to your Sober Plan listae. Well done on recognizing the tactics of your AV and building up your armor.

These 24 hours mount up. I remember Day 1 (I'll never forget day 1, the last drink hospitalised me), the week 1, then day 10, day 20, day 50, yesterday was day 200.

One day at a time, we can all do this.

Have a very good day today my friends.

5.45am UK time.
So very happy for you, Tynesider!!!

As I sit here, the tears are pouring down my face....it seems to happen every morning at the moment....I can't stop them.

I will go wash my face and wake up my husband and get the day rolling.....and I can hear Kathy saying yes, do that. (Edit....actually what she would have said was: Good girl. ).

A friend sent me something this morning. I don’t know the author but the last three sentences were amazing:

”When the great oak is straining in the wind,
The boughs drink in new beauty, and the trunk
Sends down deeper root on the windward side.
Only the soul that knows the mighty grief,
Can know the mighty rapture. Sorrows come
To stretch out places in the heart for joy.”

You and we have experienced a great loss and we share our common grief. In doing so, we grow strong to help one another in our future sorrows and to share in each others future joys.

Hello all.

24 for me, heading into the weekend.

I used to dread the weekends as it was the toughest time to stay sober.

Now the weekends are even more exciting because I can get up early and enjoy the full day.

Congrats to all milestones, thoughts with those struggling.

Stay safe.

I am wrecked. Had to start at 5 and work through lunch again--on work calls for several hours. But ... I'm home. I think I should get in the kitchen and cook up something really good. And just hang out with my SR's and relax. Everything is on track so I'm going to just stop for a few days. Monday off! Next weekend I'll be working, so I'll make this one easy.

Sending hugs to Suze and everyone. Your 24's have your back and will lift you up. Posting is the way to go.

now...about that kitchen work.....what will I throw together? It's pushing 4 so I'd better go check out the options. And what is on Netflix? Anyone seen anything good lately?

love

You are awesome. Look what you just did for me (selfish, sorry)....and yes..maybe not Netflix but lots of good stuff. Escape At Dannemora was very good....not Netflix though....hmmm...thinking.

Not cooking though. Had a meltdown today. Oh yes.

Lucky I have a nice husband. Bareburger and Nick on way....turkey and alfalfa and lots of yum...kind of a healthy-ish burger.

Sometimes life is not so easy. s
Lucky we have each other. xx
