Good thing I have a pot roast in the oven....and the world's best horseradish in the fridge calling to me.

Thanks for a fun time in your recliner anyway, Kathy, you're a good sport for giving me the "comfy" chair.

Same. I always sing the, "Kookaburra sittin' on electric wire" verse to my stepson. He'd not heard it before because he's Dutch, he thinks it's hilarious. My partner is also obsessed with their cackle. I certainly appreciate many more Australian things, particularly our weird flowers, than I used to.

But I've always loved Kookas. We have lots of King Parrots too, where we are, and they fly and dip and land on our verandah to talk to us, and I even had one land on my window sill and peek his little head in to say hello. They are quite beautiful. As are the rainbow lorikeets.

Kathy so very happy to read you had a good night sleep last night, a good nap and had a good day.
I never heard the Kookoaburra song. I wonder why?

The roast beef sandwich sounds yummy, one of my favorites and horseradish sounds good too.
That sunset picture is gorgeous.

Suze sorry you had such a terrible time getting blood taken and it had to be done again but hopefully that is all over now.

Kathy a frog jumped on my husband last night at 1 am. He jumped out of bed and scared the living daylights out of me saying "A frog jumped on my head!" At first we couldn't find him and I thought maybe he had dreamed it. If the frog had jumped on my head I think the neighbors three streets over would have heard me scream. Mr. Frog was found a few minutes later in the bathroom on a wall and was caught and promptly placed outside!
Prayers for a wonderful full night of sleep. XO

Looks like my sleep will be a series of shorter naps tonight. But I'm fine with that!

Hiya Kathy, I think you’ll be in the land of nod as I write this, hope it’s a restful night love.xx

All that spinach! You’ll be a match for Popeyes any day!

I like to put a spoon full of horseradish in my mashed potatoes. Mmmmmm.

Yeah, Steve Martin did soppy brilliantly! Did you ever see him in Roxanne, hilarious and poetic!

NAB, a frog! I thought I’d read it wrong! Lol. How did it get in, just curious. my cat brought one on but it was dead, been squashed by a vehicle. bless it.

Kathy, I hope after your marvellous (hopefully) sleep you have a smashing (metaphorically speaking!) Sunday.

All my love to you Kathy and all the Gilmerites xx

The Tasmanian poster put me in mind of one of my favourite Brisbane ones:

The skyline is much altered now but the convict built windmill (still without the blades) is still there

Ok my first attempt at pic was darn near lifesize - I can send you a link if you want it Kathy - or have any room left!

D

That's so cool, Dee! The windmill is very cool!

So mine might well be reproductions of authentic travel posters!

EDIT: And I saw your original larger and more detailed pic when you first put it up (before you edited it smaller). I got the full effect! Thanks!

Good it worked Gilly.

The photo is Horeshoe bay, Pt Elliott- on the Fleurieu Peninsula 85 k's South of Adelaide. My parent's spent the closest they ever got to being happy lving at the top of the hill in the photo- just to the right of the pine tree. They rented this huge old 'gentleman's residence'- Victorian..complete with falling down servants quarters and stables. It was owned by an elderly guy who inherited it late in life- and did not want to rent it out for much as it would be crap for his tax. The wall were a foot thick. Sometimes in very rough weather- even being back from the shoreline about 100 feet and much higher- their home was covered in spray. Whales used to wake them up at night- swimming the Southern Ocean. I never had that luck, but a beautiful part of S/Aust. Have known this part of the coast all of my life.

This is me in May of this year- a few days after I got my license back and drove to Pt Elliott to see if any mem's were kindled- the house in the background is where my parents lived.

Very, very cool, PJ!

What remarkable pictures! What an amazing place your parents got to live!

And thank you very much for sharing the picture of yourself.

I love to connect in such small ways as I can with my dear friends on here.

I very much love all the pictures of where everyone lives and what places hold real meaning for you.
