Thank you, FBL! It's been going great so far--and I'm not really sleepy yet. I started to fade toward the end of my younger daughter's visit, but then I had a bite to eat and perked up.
Is your 2-3" of snow finished yet? How is it? I bet the mood is great out there for a Friday!

Hevyn, we have wild turkeys too! Sometimes I would see huge flocks (not sure what they're called) of wild turkeys going across the road.
Loved, Mr. Fancypants! Lol!
Kathy, Glad to see you in such good spirits after a tumultuous sleep. What interesting, lovely posts this morning. Enjoy your nap, I hope you get to take.
Prayers, love and hugs for a wonderful rest of the day.

Kathy, our snow has ended and the sun is now shining. Here's a photo I took outside my office window earlier this morning:

((((Kathy)))) good morning
I really hope I’m not oversharing here because I’m a bit too good at talking too much.... but I feel it’s so great that you’re living life in the best way you can, sharing your ups and downs and your wit and wisdom. Living our life, however short or long that is, and doing what we can, in each moment, is all any of us can do. One thing my Mum and Dad have taught me is just that. What a beautiful zest for life they had, as you have. You give me so much inspiration Kathy. Not just to stay sober, but to live my life in the best way I can. And to trust in God. I had strayed a long way off my path during my life. I hadn’t thought about God much at all in many years, despite a religious upbringing. Mum kept her faith and she still went to church every week but I hadn’t even considered God had much of a place in my life for many years, since my childhood really.
And... I really felt like giving up on life completely when I lost my parents, especially Mum, because she was so very dear and precious and I felt so lost without her. But she told me that although she didn’t want to leave her family yet, she had told God she was accepting that her time was nearly up, and that she was going to be with her own parents, and that one day I’ll join them, but not for a while yet. She told me not to be sad.
And I know she’s still with me now. She hasn’t left, just transformed, like a caterpillar into a butterfly ❤️ My Mum’s love, and her words of wisdom throughout my life, I feel and hear everywhere. I hear them echoed in your own words Kathy. And together, Mum’s words, and the words of the pastor who did Mum’s farewell service, and your words Kathy, have brought me back to a place where I trust in God again. And that is such a big thing for me. As the beautiful words of Amazing Grace say, I was lost, but now, I’m found ❤️
So thank you from the bottom of my heart, for being the amazing person that you are, and for sharing your journey here. I feel very privileged and blessed to be able to learn from your words. And your words have helped restore my faith in God and in life
And I had a dream about Mum and Dad last night, the first time I’ve dreamt about them. Oh it was so vivid. I know they were letting me know they’re ok, which is very comforting to know ❤️
I hope you have a good day today

And... on a lighter note,
Mr Fancypants is a very appropriate name for the peacock on my street
PJ those poodles are fabulous, I wonder what they thought about getting all dolled up like that?
We have wild turkeys here too.
And kookaburras that like to swim in our pool!
This fella was dive bombing into our pool yesterday
You can’t see the pool but can you spot him in the branches?
You can see the big pond in the background that stretches all the way across the world to where you are ❤️

On a more serious note, I am grieving the vicious terror attack that took place in Melbourne today.
My prayer goes to all of those affected, including for the perpetrators, who are searching for solutions in places that will never satisfy. I pray for mercy of a myriad of different sorts.
