If you are the queen of weirdos, you are in like company I think....I would feel the same way love. I truly understand how disconcerting that no-woman's land you have been in recently must feel...

Gosh you are just so special. Such a beautiful thoughtful insightful compassionate human being.....

"Asking for God's help to calm our spirits"

Just yes....and just by asking I believe we feel God's presence and closeness. ♥

That is wonderful, Kathy. So glad the nurse brought you some comfort and glad you're feeling so well today. It's nice to know the whys sometime and you seem surrounded by some good people. Good to know today is feeling better for you!!

Kathy,
I can understand your feeling better with the certainty than the state of limbic limbo if you'll pardon the pun.

I'm with Suze - You are special.

I'm so glad you've felt more "yourself" in the last two days.

Caramel, that's a lovely hymn.

Kathy, each day brings you more grace...no matter what else comes.

You have shared joy with your daughters and friends, you have
shared bucket list fulfillment, and have family and friends there...
and here...all cheering you on.

Kathy, I had to set my lunch aside to say this to you.

What I pulled out of your post resonates with me in a huge way.

My best friend used to believe in God, we went to church together, we have prayed together. In recent years she has lost her belief in God and you can imagine how sad that makes me.

We haven't had a proper discussion about it, we skirt around it, for fear of upsetting each other, I guess.

She said to me a while back, that she would like us to be able to talk openly to each other, about what we each believe.

Your post just gave me the base for how to have this discussion.

Thank you, now I feel a little teary! God bless you. Your steadfast faith inspires me every time I visit your thread.

Juanita

Oh, Juanita! I'm glad there is something in my post that will help you springboard into a rapprochement conversation with your friend!

God has a very creative economy. We never know how and where our most innocuous statements will be used, or how far they may reach!

Caramel, what I got from the hymn is that we all remain simple pilgrims. We stand placidly amid any manner of gales, torments, and temptations--but in the end the clouds part and we are still standing placidly as simple pilgrims.

Kathy, I’ve only been here on SR for not quite 6 months but right from the start I’ve found comfort, hope and wisdom from your words.

And this is exactly what I needed to hear today, in my current state of disquiet about some things going on in my life that I feel very conflicted about.

“But if we ask God's help in calming our spirits, then present the truth with gentleness, both parties can grow.”

Thank you so very very much ❤️

Gilly, finding a point of reference when stuff is changing for you is difficult. You are grounding yourself and keeping your 'self' compass to true-North (aka- you). With such a tumult of feelings and thoughts, I am glad you feel more peace.
Prayers (God is listening).

You are always such a stalwart comfort PJ.

Always self-effacing, but always there with a kind word.

Thank you!

It's from John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress, 1684:

Kathy, I missed posting this morning after getting loads of error messages when I tried. Nice to come back some hours later and find all working as it should! I am not at all surprised that you feel better when you don’t feel like you are in limbo. Not crazy at all, imho. We humans do not handle uncertainty well. I hope you had a good day.
