Class of March 2013 Part 55
Glad to hear it Babs.
We are slowly settling into the new house, taking bad on it being so much smaller, bu the intent was to downsize! We are beginning to get our belongings organised, filling every available space. I had a flat pack wardrobe delivered yesterday, so am in the process of putting it together. I want it done before Mr T comes home, but need to do a perfect job or he will find fault!
My dad is suffering more health issues, it is getting them both down. My mums 'baby' brother is here with his wife for 5 weeks from Canada to try to help out and offer moral support, it gave them both a lift last September when they came across for mums 80 and her & dads 60th wedding anniversary. I'm going down the week after next, but will travel sooner if needed.

I can empathise I get them too Suze, though thankfully rarely.
Well, the gut feel I had for dads deterioration was right, he was taken into hospital Friday night. The doctors have been very straight with him, basically he is on borrowed time. They are very slowly draining the excess fluid from his body so as not to overly exert his kidneys or heart, he is likely to be in for a few days. Unfortunately there is no long term solution and he has agreed a DNR when the time comes. Both are frightened and drained emotionally, and dealing in different ways, dad is snappy with everyone, mum us talking about when he gets better. I'm going down tomorrow instead of next week, no sure how long for.

snow resize.jpgWe went back to Virginia for the 17 mile downhill bike ride last weekend, wasn't expecting to run into this much snow still on the path. What wasn't snow was mud. Even though it was downhill we had to peddle like mad to keep moving. The last 4 miles Tracy and I went up to the main road heading into town and rode that in, that was a lot more fun!
rsz_ice.jpg Another pic of the waterfalls that usually flow down the rocks! I think we'll wait a few months before heading back!
