24Hour Recovery Connections Part 372
24 please. What a beautiful day it was to hike with 88 first graders. After they left, I hiked another 6 miles for a total of 10. Tomorrow its 3rd graders coming to learn about pioneer days and after they leave I think I'll try to teach myself stand up paddleboarding since it will be almost 80 degrees here in Georgia.
Congrats to all you milestoners, you motivate me daily! It helps to know none of us are in this alone. I like this quote i saw today.
"The problem is that you don't just choose recovery. You have to keep choosing recovery, over and over and over again. You have to make that choice 5-6 times each day. You have to make that choice even when you really don't want to. It's not a single choice and it's not easy."
Thanks for making this choice with me today love y'all

We have had the power as a world to blow each other off the face for quite some time now, and we have not done it. That's good. Encouraging.
I try not to worry....just as you do love, want to do the best I can every day. That's all I can do. ♥
Neo, Thinking of you & Wishing you all the very best for tomorrow. Sending everything positive for you
Another 24 will do nicely for me.
Much Love to you 24'ers, SP
Been on line considering some others problems, while negotiating some of my own. It helps, so long as one appreciates their own fallibility along with the fallibility of others, We all have our vested interests whether ideolgical, religious, spiritual, philosophical or otherwise and it is not always easy to see the forest for the trees.
Sometimes i feel the need to ease right back, do some meditation, watch sport, go jogging or to the gym, when existential angst raises its ugly head too much. Keeping sober is a major issue of course and I am keeping well conditioned daily in that area.
Well, I'm off to a vego cafe with my wife soon, then the library to check some stuff out, and then the gym to work my legs, triceps and shouders, the latter not necessarily in that order. No time left to gargle the tonsils with poison.
Stay, strong, well informed, and sober everyone........

Hold on dear Red.....those thoughts are not telling the whole story....they are sneaaaaaky. Ask them what the real truth is.....they entice us....encourage us to drink but they don't care how we feel tomorrow. Not one bit. Well, that is just nasty. Seriously. Who wants to listen to nasty thoughts that are out to hurt us? We need to tell them where to get off. And it isn't at our house, that's for sure.
Greys Anatomy maybe? Or This Is Us? Something nice and mushy and feel-good and a cup of herbal tea and a cookie. The thoughts will get bored and go and sulk in the corner. ♥♥
