I stopped smoking 9 years ago.... it's tough at first but stick with it because suddenly it gets easy. You just need to break the habit.... you are definitely strong enough to do it. Can't believe it's exactly a year since I made my first post on SR. I'd managed 5 months of sobriety at that point but I needed help to get any further. So I plucked up the courage to post and I'm so glad I did. The worst thing about being sick is feeling alone. The best thing about being sick is the ability to recover. And this place has provided me with a safe, supportive community in which to recover. I will never recover fully from this disease so I will always be a part of this community. And for that I feel very blessed.
Congratulations to everyone celebrating a milestone today. 24 more for me please xxxx
