Every time I wanted a fag i imagined it was her telling me so i would send her back to her room. That didnt work so I bought a nicorette spray (other brands may be available) and every time I wanted a fag (i smoked roll ups) i would have a whack on the ole spray. It does taste pretty foul (but then so do the cancer sticks) and I found it dealt with it enough for me to carry on without having one. At this juncture I would like to say that I never, for one minute, imagined I could give up smoking. I loved it (or rather my addictive little dopamine receptors were having a hard house party every time the tobacco came out). So I agree with the, cant scroll up as i am typing in, but someone above this said exactly what I found. Jeez man it feels hard at first and then hey presto! you dont even think about it any more and Mr Marlboro has to find another paycheck.

Wow it's a milestone birthday for sure and I'm so proud she's becoming a lovely young woman. Makes me even more grateful to be sober and present. She'll be gone spreading her wings in a couple of years so our time together is super precious.
Yesterday we ate like beasts! Ice cream parlour for lunch and an Italian meal for dinner. Yum yum! Worth the inevitable weight gain I shall definitely go to the gym after work tonight!
