The US govt..confuses me....a government can just close down. Yes I understand the workings of it...but what happens, say if a natural disaster hits? Does some sad faced govt employee- forced to be at their job with no pay send a terse note to god informing him of the unsuitability of such actions at this time? Perhaps the paperwork for continuing to have to exist were not filled out properly???

The heat- and watching city folk who cope with the extreme heat by drinking showed me again- booze often makes everything worse.

We've been together 6 years but if sobriety is my #1 i just don't see me making it while my BIL lives with us in our 1000 ft home. I feel so alone listening to them play music videos and laugh loudly, something i would have been in the middle of a few weeks ago.

My heart feels like it's drowning. I will be laying in bed though my brain is screaming to get in the car and go to the store. I will get up tomorrow and go hiking with my friend without a hangover.

There can be quite a cliquey culture in the PTA and in a way I'm not surprised. Maybe it's because you do so much good for them she's panicking. Or maybe she's just thoughtless and unkind.....
Either way Kenton I really do think it's super essential to build in some you-time.

Sorry I'm late today gang. Went over to Leeds to watch eldest play netball. They lost but that's fine she played well against a superb team. Love watching them rooting fur eachother it's great!
Then snoozed through a kids movie. I knew I would haha what an old lady!
Bit churned up about next week. Got a lot to do but it's fine. It's only work. I'm determined to stay calm and clear headed.
