Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family on Saturday. Spent all Friday afternoon cooking and cleaning and nearly fell asleep on my feet. I was exhausted. Saturday was more of the same...on my feet all day, but it was worth every minute.
The grandchildren put up my North Pole Village and we ate and ate. Everything turned out fantastic. My 10 year old granddaughter baked a maple pumpkin pie and my 12 year old granddaughter made whipped cream with vanilla beans! They take after their dad (who takes after me, LOL).

I bought the adults some processo to make pomegranate, cranberry bellinis. I made mine and the kids with club soda and it was fantastic! I threw in some pomegranate seeds and a cranberry with a twist of lime and totally enjoyed it. I wasn't tempted with the wine at all. Of course, they finished the bottle ( I was going to toss it if anything was left) but they enjoyed themselves.

Back to work today and things went better than I expected. I finished a project this morning that I thought would take me until Wednesday, so some stress is off.

I have 2 weeks of unscheduled vacation (my boss sort of implied I wouldn't be able to take it) so today I put in for 7 days. She's going to let me carry 3 over to next year, which is perfect! I'll use them for our January ski trip.

All in all, things are going well and I am every so thankful to God for blessing me with my sobriety. I'm still on step 1, hoping to finish that up this month, and start step 2 in December. I do a little bit every day and I think it's making a difference.

That's about it. I wish I had more time to read other posts, but I'm exhausted...again. 5am comes pretty fast and makes for very long days :-)

Congratulations to everyone staying on the path, and prayers for those who are struggling. Believe me, I know how it feels...
