Hi all. Just a late and quick check-in. Finally home after two weeks away, about which more tomorrow. Busy and not busy for the duration, but basically no internet time so I've got some catching up to do. I thought about our class often though and missed you all!
Yesterday was day 100, and I was stuck driving through torrential rains for like hours. Smiling though, satisfied. Today I was ahead of the rain. Home now, and GLAD to be home.
Good dumb joke from a Johnny Carson rerun I'm watching: "Tommy [the bandleader] was a lonely child who had no friends. He spent his time playing "seek."
Cue Purpl for a rimshot. I'll be here all week.
Time for bed. See you great folks in the morning for some catching up.

Saw Blade Runner 2049 (movie)
and I’m not only highly confused by the plot....kind of depressing to watch! San Diego even ends up being a hellhole in about 30 years. Not my town!!!
No more depressing movies for awhile. Not a good thing for me. It’s literally work to stay somewhat positive every day.

I just lost 500 words 9(ucky you- peoples)
In a nutshell- running these 2 very hard core meetings is beginning to wear thin on me. People complain to me- 'cos I am the sec. About silly things with enough smarts to know better but chanting the hollow 'I am damaged- I am an alcoholic- it is not fair on me', everything from the biscuits I buy- to where people park. And these people get SERIOUSLY upset.
One lady- I know well enough now- asked who supports me? No one I says- so she said I need a bit of support- so asked if coffee at a local place sometimes okay. A welcome gesture.
Right hand blown out like a balloon. The new sleeve to protect my exposed nerve is tight (wetsuit material). Weather much warmer- and I am walking a lot more- so need to wear the dreaded glove- to promote venous return.
All for now. Have burns review tomorrow to see if my arm./hand go under the knife again- nervous.

And speaking of drinking and being annoying, I can't even imagine how annoying I was...ALL the time. It's nice to also get rid of toxic people and finally be surrounded by all the right ones

A lot of positive posts here - especially for a Monday morning. I like that!!
Lillian, Mish, PJ, Kiki, Pelagic and Purps - you all sound great. Kiki, I did drive down to the AA meeting yesterday afternoon. I watched at least 40 people walk in. Some people were piling out of vans - 10 at a time. I did not go in. I guess I was hoping for a less overwhelming crowd.

Hah, had a long post, went to post it, screen says "you are not connected." Well, I WAS!! Bleepin' techno-snafus.
Anyway, thanks all. 102 days is now surely the longest (by far) I've gone since, umm, middle school I suppose. It feels good and things are settling into a new normal. And normal is just fine by me! I like normal.
Ah well, in short, let's all make it a good and sober day! We can do that. Whaddya know, yes we can do that!
PS: Excellent news about Nathan, Bobbieka. Wow, sober time flies, AND you can grow and move forward. What's not to like??
