Babs, at this point with your mother-in-law, I think the best thing you can do is just be kind to everybody surrounding the situation.

This is a rare occurrence for me, but I had a really disconcerting drinking dream last night.

I had been invited to a very upscale party because the host was also a later life college student, and he had finally graduated.

I was sitting in their living room chatting pleasantly with the hostess when I laid my martini glass full of red wine down, and it sloshed and left a big red ring on her oriental rug.

I was horrified and fell all over myself rushing to try to blot it up. A lot of it did come up in the paper towel--but not all. A vestige of the stain was still there.

Right as I was feeling bad about leaving the stain on this posh rug, it hit me: without thinking I had drunk red wine! With horror and sorrow, I realized I that I had flushed my 3 years, 9 mo. right down the toilet without even thinking about it. I was back to Day 1!

I reasoned that at least it was good wine, not cheap stuff. But that provided zero consolation.

Then I frantically tried to get on SR, but I couldn't access it no matter what I tried.

Then I woke up.

I haven't been that upset in a dream for a long time!

Wow Gilmer that must have been upsetting, how glad we're you when you woke up though!
I really hate those dreams, thankfully I haven't had one for a while.

Sass I hope your trip goes well and that now daughter is getting her life together, perhaps ther will be changes for the better in your relationship.

Babs, what they said!!

Be kind to those you love folks. X

hi Guys !
Still hanging in there. Hubby and I had another disagreement yesterday. I'm blaming it on all the stress with my MIL. Things really aren't that bad. When I think about it maybe I'm the one that can't handle a change. I'm ok though.
Going to AA at noon today so, that always sets me straight.
thanks for the advise ---believe me I appreciate it all.

Hi Again
I need to sit back and relax for awhile. I talked to my sister and she suggested I come and visit her for a couple of days and I'm seriously thinking that sounds like a good idea.
Thanks Gilmer---the meeting did help.
Hugs
Babs

Balance is really important I think Babs. If you need a break and you can get away - why not do it?

I'm doing great because I got a good grade on something I put a lot of effort into.

"All hard work yields a profit."

I am always amazed when that turns out to be true!

Hi Sass, things are ok! Did I mention that we finally have a court date? September 13-15. I can't believe that there is finally an end in sight to this mess - it's going on a year now. So there's relief in that. How did your visit with your daughter go? How is she doing handling her divorce?

Gilmer, congrats on the great grade!!

Babs, glad you're getting away for a little break - enjoy.

Hi to all of our other Marchers!

Hello Marchers !
Just talked to my sister and she called and said why don't you come this Monday so, that's what I plan on doing. I'm looking forward to going away for awhile.
Hubby isn't saying much but, that's ok. Going to see my MIL today sometime so, I will see for myself how she is doing.
Have a great week-end everyone.
Babs

Sounds like a plan Babs

Well done Gilmer!

Duff, glad you have a specific focus. Life will only get better once this is finally signed off.

Hey Sass, how's Sassy Kitty?

I've been without the internet for a few days, I can use my phone but it's such a pain I decided to wait! It is so hot here just now, 23C at night and we have no air con.
