I put coffee grounds on my azaleas yesterday. They love acid.
There was a regional science fair for high school students in my area, and the winning entry found that coffee grounds alone produce better growth in plants than a placebo, fertilizer, or a mixture of both coffee grounds and fertilizer.
We'll see!

OK, the snapdragons are planted (ignore the petunia at the back...I broke it off by accident and couldn't throw it out. I know it won't grow....)
And the cute little coloured flowers: I don't know their name...
And I think I showed you guys this one...not sure....but the lantern is new.

I get a lot of it wrong. Some plants are doing awesomely and some are struggling. They all need patience and love.....just as I do.
I am not feeling well and I am unable to find my usual pep.
Nick is wonderful....loving, kind and patient always, but I am just so disappointed in myself right now.
I am not sure why I am being so hard on myself....I am nowhere near as compassionate with myself that I am with others. At the moment in any case.

Nick and I had a very big day yesterday ~ some very serious stuff that needed to be taken care of. And we did it together. And came out stronger than ever.
And of course after the hard stuff I always want to celebrate our achievements, and I do it with plants.
And I do it with Nick's blessing ~ he shares every bit of my joy.
We sat on our swing last night and enjoyed what is becoming our lovely garden.
