We sat on our swing last night and enjoyed what is becoming our lovely garden.

Here are the new guys....

Well done!!!!

Beautiful plants, too.

I forgot one, and it is an important one....Nick found this and loved it and for some reason I didn't see how special it was last week. Hmm. I sure do now.

It is now living on the window ledge at the top of the stairs....

I agree with Least.

You're a wonderful homemaker, Suze!

Your home must be a very warm place for Nick to come back to.

Dear Suze:
I have been having problems getting in touch with you and Nick. I am sending you several white lilies for your garden and other ones for indoors. The supplier says that they will die unless they are planted immediately since it is so late in the season.
I shall not be posting on SR for a good while since my wife's health problems seem to have worsened. Neither can I travel anymore since airline procedures might very well create a risk of a heart attack at my age (90) and cardiac issues.
We wish you all the happiness in the world and the same goes for Willow, whom I hope arrives and takes charge very soon.

Fondly,

Bill and Boswell

"Higher Power Tools" are costless. The cost comes from failing to use them!

I don't know what a "magazine philosopher" is. A sort of phony "wise man"?

What I meant is that the "tools" for achieving sobriety (I refer to "Higher Power" but meant "tools" in a larger sense than that used by AA) come without cost. (e.g. Easy Does It!, Don't try to change stuff that can't be changed!. Do one thing at a time! Live in the Present! Get to know your true self! Forgive others and forgive yourself! Reach out and help others) You pay nothing for them. But you do pay for failing to use them. At least I paid for forty years. These tools have been around for 2500 years. And I assume I am not unusual or phony in making that observation. It is not "magazine" stuff. It is the stuff of reality. Am I "preaching".? I don't really care. I care about being sober and helping others to be sober if I can. I wish them and you well. Over and out.

W.

Thanks for your advice. I agree with all of it.
PS; I was referring to myself as a magazine philisopher. Kind regards. Vinny.

Vinny! My dear fellow! You are not a magazine philosopher. You are a fine person, as capable of unscrewing the inscrutable as anyone else, including yours truly. Apologies, i am a little edgy today. "The Times are out of joint!" to quote the Bard. I wish I was in Toulouse like you! My comment was an attempt to make a pun on your power tool reference." ("Man who not know how to use power tool get hand cut off! Man not using Higher Power Sobriety Tools get head pixilated! Get DUI! Go to Slammer!")

Every good wish mon ami!

Bill.

More new flowers

And there are a few new succulents up on the shelf in the kitchen to replace the original pansies that didn't make it....of course we couldn't just throw them out, so they are in the garden outside now trying their hardest to survive.

I have faith.
