I'm just sitting down to my favorite part of the week day which is patio sitting time. I'm solo this evening so quiet it is apart from the birds. I noticed a little something in this bunch of amaryllis blooms....

Hope everyone is having a nice week.

That's it Suze...and a happy little frog I'm thinking.

We've always called them rain frogs, but I don't know if there's a more proper name.

Thanks for the advice, Mark. Either way I look at this thing I'll either own or part own the current business. Part of me would like to start my own thing right from scratch though. Time will tell. My father owned his own business for years and was very successful. One thing he taught me (and I've gotten a taste of it for years already) is that it's hard to completely disconnect. You've really got to want it. Anyone you talk to that knew my father could tell you that he said he always wanted his own business.

Too much stuff going on right now to even dabble, never mind keep a tidy home to show.

Nice flowers btw. We are only seeing the first of spring blooms, crocuses. Such a simple short lived perennial, but complex beauty in the pedals.

No doubt you've got the drive and skills to take the plunge when the time's right Arbor. Circumstances at the time made my path clear. It was a little unnerving early on because we'd just built this house and then not long later the surprise third child came along. I took an initial income hit but did lots of moonlighting in places outside of my area to fill in the budget. I kept lots of that stress to myself to shield my wife....she has no interest in budgeting, bills etc.. That part I would handle differently because alcohol increasingly became my crutch until I was caught up in more than I'd bargained for.

Who knows, one or both of your boys may be interested in the family biz one day. Lots going on for you dude!

Leigh, I remember that you also like bougainvillea and thought of you when I noticed this particular one leafing out. I've two others of a different color that I hope will come back from overwintering. I would think you could succeed with them in your area.

Yes, lots going on! Thank god for sobriety! You see, without that alcoholic burden I now find other ways to pile on the stress! Lol

Nice flowers again, Mark.

Ok, Y'all should be jealous... I'm eating Suze's Chicken, Avocado and Tomato toastie (Which I'm told you've heard of).

And let me tell you. It is *AWESOME*

Sounds tasty Goat! I may try that sometime. So a few questions for you two....

What bread is best? How is the chicken prepared? Is it sliced fresh avocado and tomato? Any particular condiment.....mayo, vegemite? Do you put it all together and then toast it like grilled cheese sandwich?

If I'm gonna try that famous 'toastie' I want it to be authentic!

Gonna go find the pics of your place.

Gorgeous; thanks, Mark. I love bougainvillea. I hoping to get a couple for the patio!!!

My sister has three with fuschia colored blooms. Also lovely.

Your place looks great Suze. That's quite the plant menagerie! Of course I'm drawn to the courtyard. Looks like a nice fountain on the wall maybe. Great swing too.
