One Year & Over Part 46
Morning overs
Sassy, that sounded like a good plan yesterday, snuggled up inside
Hope everyone keeps safe whilst bad weather surrounding us.
On my way to work yesterday , I had just turned into the main road to go into Scunny so was driving slow when, I thought a big dog ran out, then realised it was a deer, followed by 7 more! I stopped on the road waiting for them to pass onto the other side into the woods and a disused railway. So sweet.
As I carried on my journey 2 massive lorries with a house on it passed , or should I say squeezed, so pleased they wasn't there a moment earlier! That's the most I've seen deer wild in one go, there's lots in Normanby park but safe from traffic.
It must be nearly Spring, I saw the Hare crisscrossing madly over the field, I'm not sure how old they get but this hare, I've seen him for years, same pattern over the fields. Beautiful.
Have a good Tuesday overs, and have a :

Mags, I remember one time when I was nearly totalled by a deer jumping out right in front of my van...in the middle of Bournemouth! ( it was v early in the morning but even so I never expected to see a huge red deer!) very serendipitous timing! Coming back from dropping hubby in Edinburgh yesterday morning I drove through Fife. The car in front of me overtook a bin lorry. I was far enough back to see the traffic coming towards him and with my heart in my mouth though I was about to see a head on collision. The oncoming traffic slowed almost to a stop to prevent a crash and the stupid #*<€{¥ that overtook, continued on his merry way. The infuriating thing is that he risked lives for what? To get to work on time? Is his work that important? Where do these fatherless morons get the permission to decide whose life is worth throwing a dice for? I'm sure he gave himself a fright. I'm also pretty sure it won't stop him doing it again. Hubby said that the car approaching may have had a dash cam. One can only hope.
I must have risked the lives of others myself drinking with alcohol in my system. In my young and stupidly invincible days I drove drunk. Older slightly wiser I never drove when I drank but frequently the day after I would have been over the limit. I thank the fates I never endangered anyone.
Congratulations on another month under the belt, Wolfie, Kris, Dharma( I think??) and all my other sober siblings

Jeni! Lovely to have you back.
Congrats on the monthly anniversaries to Dharma, Kris, Wolfie and Toots
It was a quiet day at the OFH yesterday. Almost everything was cancelled but we found a DVD of a movie and gathered mid-afternoon to watch. Our chef and Food & Beverage director (by themselves!) put together a lovely buffet. Maddy and I snuggled up.
Toots, so relieved to hear there was no accident.
Mags, yesterday sounds adventuresome :-)
SG, lucky that you didn't have the blizzard!
Have a good Tuesday to all.

I have a long drive back and forth to work on major highways and believe me, the roads are filled with Stupid. According to an article I read, one in ten drivers on the road at night and on weekends is legally drunk. Throw in all the folks texting while driving, it's amazing anyone makes it anywhere alive.
Glad you made it to work ok Mags. It puts life in perspective sometimes.

I honestly think there should be mandatory driving tests every 10 years for everyone.
