Gilmer

I'm so sorry that you didn't get the news you were hoping for. I've been telling myself the same thing lately - that God has a plan and will use all of this for good. It is true. I'm thinking about you tonight and you definitely are not alone. I'm so glad you came here to share with us.

Thanks, you guys.

I'm diverting myself now with a suspenseful action film!

Gilmer- the mind is good at getting what it wants. Sometimes it is not what we want. Sucks about doctors and tests- I have a little bit of understanding and empathy in buckets for you on that one. Why don't you do something you have never done before where you are, but always wanted to? A 'never got 'round to that-yet' project? Walk around the lake anti clockwise, go fishing (then kiss the fish and release it). Go for a walk with Wilbur (or dog-ever) and imagine either for once- YOU are taking them for a walk, or THEY are taking you for a walk. Wear your jeans around the other way. Do something joyously silly. Paint Wilbur's ears pink (with water colours). Draw a silly cartoon. Get some eye liner and draw a cartoon on your face looking in the mirror.
Post heaps. Go somewhere- where no one can hear the noise of trees falling and talk to god out aloud. LOUDLY.
Keep posting.
Prayers.

(((Gilmer)))! So sorry you are going through all this. Good that you got to spend the weekend with your family in the mountains.

G- this may help you smile. My dad was a priest. He received a lteer from another priest who was rectory-sitting. This was for us and lots of priestly families the only way to get a holiday- swap houses with another priest. This guy was depressed and so incredibly bored- he painted his dogs ears a different colour for something to do.

PJ you kill me ! ha ha ha ----I really need your sense of humor.
I married a ministers son the first time around and lordy could I
tell some stories about that situation. I've been in the poor pity me mode
lately and It took until I read some posts here that made me realize it. Now, I can look back and see how silly my thinking was.
It really does feel good to smile and it comes from my heart. !

Wilbur is too much small a canvas; I think I'll attempt to dye her golden retriever instead!

Things are going well up here. I have been in good conversations with guests today.

Now I've got some free time to check in here. Thank you all so much for being there when I was down. I still have to call the doctor's office Monday morning, which I dread; but as long as I'm busy I can put it out of my mind for the time being.

I just finished watching a movie on Amazon called How To Be a Serial Killer. There was a scene in it where a guy gets frustrated with his dog; I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed!

The serial killer took a bit of offense to the guy's attitude.

OK that picture is just way too precious! Thx for the update and photo, Ken. I was wondering how they were settling in together. How about Max?

Watching the Super Bowl with my 2 favorite guys. We had a full and terrific day. Church this morning, lunch at the beach with my aunt & uncle which included some mean games of shuffleboard and putt putt, home to biking to our new favorite fishing spot where the boys made a new friend, which led to an impromptu game of lacrosse with more new friends at the park - all within biking distance.

I'm so flipping happy that the boys are making friends and are loving it here. We all are - the dogs are getting more walks than they've ever gotten and this place is canine heaven.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Gilmer, how are you doing?

Max is dealing with them as best as he can, if they leave him alone he'll do the same, but if they get too close too him, they get smacked, They are careful with him.

Glad things are going well for you!

Absolutely adorable pic, Ken!

Duff, I'm so happy to hear you and the boys are settling into your new home so well. Especially nice that you are all making new friends so quickly

If anyone would like advanced dog painting lessons, I am (grudgingly, but I will do it for the common good) willing to offer up my 'secrets'.
Hope all are okay. I'm okay, your okay.
