Happy Birthday Sass, you're a spring chicken!
Contrary to fears, a wonderful day was had by all yesterday, daughter was in good spirits, ( the pup kept her sidetracked when she wasn't in the kitchen creaking about the food!) and everyone had a great time. Hubby's ex ( the kids mom) was there, we get on okay, and as hubby got sauced and incapable we both got to tease him plenty. ( at one point I said to her ' you were lucky you got the cute young version - look what I ended up with!') plenty of good natured giggles at each other's expense throughout the day ( this is a family that never happy unless someone is on the end of a ribbing and of course I just have to force myself to join in!!)
All repeated today here ( minus the ex and the pup) in a few hours time. Let's hope the laughs continue.
Duster (sic) hope you had a wonderful day, and enjoyed the quiet time when the boys were at his parents. X
Gilmer how was yours?
Phoenix what did you do in the end?
Trachy did you and your sister go to your folks?
Dee I guess Boxing Day is over where you are and life is returning to whatever counts as normal??
Budd how did Max and NB enjoy their day? Have you never heard a word of Velvet and Jez?

North, DD, and other intermittent Marchers, it would be lovely to hear how you're doing, but whatever, I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season.
