Class of March 2016 part 29
Jemma - that IS such a sweet, fun age! I remember being asked if I was a preschool teacher because I had such patience during the toddler years. I really loved it (except for the bedtime battles that began at 2 1/2!!). Somehow I understood the irrational mood swings of that age, lol. It really is a darling age. Probably my favorite
Ugh. I totally forgot that I have to get my Texas Food Handlers certification renewed before September 1. This is my last day off before then so I'm suffering through it now. (Well, I have it on in a background window on my computer and check it every couple of minutes to see if I can click on to the next "lesson" yet.) I've taken this course at least seven or eight times before. It's so insufferably slow and repetitive. Oh well, at least it's not the alcohol service one. That one is even longer and more boring.
My ribs were amazing though.

Me again! Thanks everyone for keeping me sober today! And in case you all didn't already know......it's "CROW-BACK THURSDAY!"
Hope you're all doing okay ~~~ I'll be around this evening (Thanks for the warning, right?!?) Lol

I'm tired and headachy, DD is exhausted and crabby as hell from the first week of school. Drinking seriously crossed my mind, but I know I will regret it tomorrow. I will not regret staying sober in the morning, so that's that. No caving for me tonight. One day, sometimes one hour at a time. Thanks for being here!!
Counting down to bedtime...

Hang in there, clearlyheaded. A drink is not the answer but it sure as heck can be the start of a bigger problem. Good for you for thinking it through and for getting those thoughts out there.
Crow is my favorite of the Satellite of Love crew, Purplrks. I think his personality is the most like my own.
After years of procrastination, I just finally watched the acclaimed 2012 documentary The Act of Killing. It's about the killing of 500,000+ communists in Indonesia in 1965, mainly about how the killers deal today with what they did 40 years ago. Hard to watch at times but definitely a great film. Very thought-provoking. There's a sequel/companion film of sorts, but I think I need to wait a few days to watch it.
Hope everyone is having a safe and sober evening. How are things down under, immri?

Had the same exact thoughts tonight! That's eerie!
Stopped for Mexican on my way home from work and I am having two deep fried beef tacos right at this instant.
I can almost hear my arteries hardening. I don't care. I thought about drinking and chose this instead.
Totally recommend this.

I think the people who share on this site are honest, often in pain and growing for sharing. Kayak- sorry have got no clever quotes about shoes, journeys and stuff. Basically some times stuff is very hard and sucks. Remember you are not alone. My shoes stink and I often wear odd socks. Better than having cold feet- just need a wash. Thoughts and prayers to you, Ic2
