Congrats Itchy! No grand kids here yet... not ready for that!
I hate deadlines and editors, but they have to keep me in check or I will take forever and write all kinds of nonsense.
My music taste is a bit different, but I can say that Yo Yo Ma was in my apartment for a few minutes about 8 years ago. He was visiting a neighbor and the neighbor introduced him to me. I got drunk many times with Metropolitan Opera tenor Jerry Hadley (RIP) when we were in college at the same time, he was in grad school I was undergrad.. but that is best left to bad memories.

Congrats; Itch Man...what a blessing in your sober life.
Here I sit waiting to do my thing in a cup, I guess...new employment drug screening. Haha, they can even check for alcohol...and I will pass with flying colors. Found the perfect sales gig for 14 hrs a week. No interuption in my steady two golf dates, 3 regular AA mtgs and 4 body-pump gym classes each week. So grateful for this new sober life.

Congrats Carlos! That sounds like a perfect job. 
And yes, I keep hearing friends from the US talking about drug screens for jobs.
It happens with some jobs here, but it is not the standard, yet.

I have negotiated a bit over salary with that job I spoke of up north...asked for more than they were offering, they're going to call me tomorrow. I'm not even sure if I want this position, but we will see. Could be a new adventure but....I don't really feel like any more adventures at this time, kind of just want to be settled for awhile. We'll see.
I have an important job interview tomorrow, for a full-time, LOCAL reporting position. It would be amazing to get it. It's in a town on the outskirts of the city, so I can live in the country and still be close to the bright lights.....have my cake and eat it too, so to speak.
But if I don't get it, I'm prepared for that too. Not meant to be. And really I'm in a pretty good place right now. It's not perfect but....when is life ever? Anyway it's pretty good by most people's standards I think. Lots of laughter and that is a really good thing. Was missing that, big time, more than I think I knew.

My neice called to let me know her dissertation was finished I was on the phone as she handed it in I'm so proud of her then she goes and smashes it by whatsapping me what she wrote on her acknowledgements which was among other things my mother's name and saying this is for you
