To add:

I'm going to make some notes on all this (mental and physical) so that I can be more helpful to folks going through this period. It's can be awfully difficult and I sometimes get a feeling that people just laugh it off. This stuff can make or break families, man. It's real.

I hear ya Arbor. Kids can be hell. I think some people are afraid to admit how bad it can be at times. I thought I was a terrible parent because I wasn't happy all the time. But now I feel better about it, and I know it doesn't mean I love my daughter any less. It's just really damn hard! And I think some of us are just more sensitive by nature. I know I am.

Fingers crossed that 10 months will stick. Mine hit it at 8 and has been pretty solid ever since. Sleep wise overall I now believe her to have been pretty average. We had a few episodes of night terrors around 2 though. That was some crazy sht!!

Thanks for your words about bipolar. It's no picnic, but I'm very fortunate that I'm able to maintain a relatively normal life. Some people are profoundly disabled by it. In the grand scheme of things, I got a pretty good deal.

Things are good here. I've had one of those low grade colds that lasts forever, so I've been a little tired, but not too bad.

I have something to show you guys...I just need to upload the pics...

I seriously thought up this idea with my very own brain!

So it was my friend’s birthday. She doesn’t eat sugary foods, but she loves sushi. So I made her a sushi cake:

Oh, I'm sure lots of people have thought of it. It's probably all over Pinterest. She sure was surprised though!

I looked on Pinterest; I have never seen one like yours before....not with the seaweed over the whole thing, and then decorations on top!

I'm glad your friend enjoyed it.

That is amazing, Briar!!!

Arbor, I had one non-sleeper, our first. The boy slept like a dream! I never would have believed anyone's tale about it, had I not had one of each! To this day, my daughter has trouble falling asleep. Once she falls asleep, she's out. But, as a baby, she might not go down until 1-2 am, and then nursing a few hours later, etc... But my husband usually slept. I was not going to a job, so, I took it as my job. But O remember one particular night just sobbing in bed, because I knew I'd have to feed her in two hours, but could not fall asleep, myself. I became a very good napper. I hope you have cooperative children over these next several days.
