It's like that in Ky as well. Being in a band is different from taking lessons. I assumed people knew that. A recorded song isn't just certain parts played. The parts selected are more often whatever the engineer selects to put there, but the band plays the whole way through. I thought people knew that. Some parts are "rides" is all. Heck you know that, I just thought everyone did! Lol

Like a lot of us, I wound up drinking to forget and suppress all the bad things that go along with life. Today all that bad stuff, that I didn't deal with properly came back. Wow, talk about a bad day. Think I'm through it for now. The important thing is I didn't drink to get through it. Hopefully I took a couple of much needed steps down the path of recovery.

So sorry you had a rough day but very proud of you for getting through it without drinking. I believe it will only get easier with time.

good evening everyone, I accidentally forgot to post yesterday so posting twice today to make up hopefully I'll make the list next week! Still sober
Hope all the mums out there had a lovely mothers day. I'm not a mum to kids but am a 'mum' to my lovely dog who is licking my feet at the moment!
Lunch with the MIL was actually ok. She seemed quite mellow and chilled out (normally she's really fussy and cleaning everything all the time.
Having a cup of tea and painting warhammer models. Hope you're all having a nice evening xx

Glad to see you back here Neo. Hoping to see SW and growpath and her lovely puppy picture here soon xx

Congrats to all the milestoners today ! Keep trooping along ! Reflect and enjoy the moment ! Be yourself (everyone else is taken) !

After my Sunday run yesterday, I compared the timing to the prior week. I had managed to run a little farther and slightly quicker time. Long distance running or at least training for it reminds me of my sobriety journey. It requires commitment, patience, self belief and is hard work. The improvements are marginal when compared daily but over the long haul, one can see a major change. As with running, the rewards of sobriety, which I can easily overlook as they are subtle and gradual, make it all worthwhile !

Another 24 hours of patience, wisdom and sobriety pls ! Its 8:44am here !
