i think i was abducted

i dreamt of big eyed
aliens in the forest
and their rocket ship

they would lurk in my
room but i couldn't move or
scream while they just stared

they would chase me in
my dreams and enclose me in
darkness and hot fear

the doctor wondered
about the anal warts and
suspected foul play

was it my neighbor
or aliens conducting
sick experiments

it doesn't really
matter what's real or not when
they're burning off warts

sleep paralysis
nightmares abduction or just
imagination

i watched cartoons on
my eyelids but sometimes they
were quite unpleasant

dead scraggly trees ripped
my flesh as i sprinted from
trolls and caped perverts

when i finally
surrendered the big eyed men
would smother my mind

their shadows linger
as if they sometimes visit
just to remind me

what were you dreaming
asks my wife but i don't tell
she worries enough

it's enough to make
a man drink away his youth
and reality
