i went down to cra
zy town i went down to cra
zy town i went down

My little kitty
Her fur gleams like ebony
She paws at the door

Just got googled up
Now I get this Haiku thing
My Maths just makes it

My stomach tickles
Excited for the moonrise
The spirit rises

Up early today
My home huddled around me
The sun rises soon

Zero? Are you there?
Are you okay and hangin'?
Does life call to you?

As it calls to me?
Crisp nights invigorate?
Cause you to renew?

zero's on anti-
biotics and hanging in
there making progress

back is good and junk
flows like a hose so this is
a minor setback

i work too much and
get discouraged but life is
better than it was

i want to retire
and begin a new career
making a difference

my existential
vacuum sometimes sucks the life
out of my dry soul

i still have passion
but my career slid into a
dead end pointless job

i went to grad school
for a purpose but it seems
my purpose was swiped

so now i work for
a check and wait to restart
soon in retirement

a modest pension
will allow me to begin
entry level work

i'll be the old guy
with the young supervisor
free to stay or leave

and i'll only work
if i want to not cuz i
need to pay the bills

meaningful work that
i was born to do and that
will bring people joy

and that includes me
damn it cuz i've slaved among
the dead and dying
