24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 74
Thanks for all the kind words everyone, celebrating 6 months of sobriety today.
Still feeling pretty unwell but I'm off for an early night with a nice cup of tea and a good book, 24 more hours for me please and a decent sleep if it's not too much to ask!
Stay safe

One or two drinks does next to nothing for me, save of course the cost, calories, poisons: albeit less , but that's hardly the point.
Of course the risk of consuming more (increased cost, calories, dangers etc) multiplies with every drink.
That said, another 24 hours is clearly the smart option..

Today we are covering the Eastern Massasauga Rattlesnake (Sistrurus catenatus) which is an endangered species found in in the upper mid-west of the United States and parts of Canada. They are very fascinating creatures. Generally speaking, these snakes only strike humans when feeling threatened or cornered. People rarely are bitten by these snakes. In Ontario and Michigan, which is the province and state with the most massasaugas, they report an average of 1 to 2 bites a year. Of the bites that do occur, they are the result of someone intentionally handling, harassing, or someone stepping on one. The venom of a massasauga is more toxic than that of most other rattlesnakes. However, there are no known fatalities in the last 40 years.
I always look forward to seeing each and every one of you here! I hope to see you all here again tomorrow!
