Good evening! Signing up for another 24 sober hours at 9:20 PM.
Strategery, you must have intuited I might poke my head in.
And the cake is perfect!
I think I'll go back to a daily check-in to help with the strength in numbers and for whomever it might benefit.
Hope everyone is doing well!

I survived! Passed up the 1st alcoholic beverage offered to me tonight! Enjoyed the day stone sober with friends and family. This is The night of my 7day milestone! I'm patting myself on the back and kinda regretting treating myself to burger king's new fiery chicken fries:p gross. I know! But I had to try! Great job everyone! And thank you for the acknowledging our successes!
A nice Sunday, nothing real different, but just a pleasant day. We leave for our vacation on Wednesday morning. So, next 2 days busy getting everything cleaned, ironed and packed. I love vacations, but it is always hard leaving our cat babies. We have a friend who lives on our street (who loves cats and has 3 of her own) take care of Sara & Lucky .
Congrats to our friends marking a milestone today. I will be signing in for the next 24 hours of my own recover too! Always grateful to my HP, AA, & SR for this gift each day.

Welcome to the 24 hour thread, SEECLEAR! Congrats on day 8 and on choosing a better way of life in recovery.
Welcome to SR and to the 24 Hour thread, Madgy! There is a ton of great wisdom and support to be found here. Hope you'll check in often!
For any of you newcomers, I also highly suggest joining and actively participating in the Class of August thread found on the Newcomers to Recovery board. It's a great way to learn from and help others who are also in early recovery.

Everyone Who is Here and Sober Today

(In other words, I don't have a record of any of us having the 24th as our sobriety date. My apologies if I missed someone, and thanks to each and every one of you again for helping me to stay sober one day at a time.)
12:13 am Texas time. Starting day 109. I'm in for 24 more hours of peace and serenity in recovery. Thank you!
What novel was it? I just finished Sputnik Sweetheart two or three days ago. It was probably the weakest novel of his I've read so far but it was still definitely worth reading and it got much better in the last hundred pages or so once the story gained a little momentum. I love letting myself sink down into the odd worlds that Murakami creates.
