24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 59
Congrats to all milestoners.
Venus, thanks for the quote. Needed to hear it today as I start over on my weight loss journey. Again. This struggle is more difficult than the booze but I'm not giving up.
Hugs & love to all.

Good morning everyone. Congratulations to today's milestoners and, all who remain sober today. My thoughts and prayers to those who are struggling.
It's day three for me. Looking forward to day four. Someone said in another thread yesterday that you can't control the past. Guess that means all we can do is go forward. Go forward sober.

Checking in from a stormy southeastern Texas. I met with my sponsor today and had a great meeting. He gave me some great 9th Step advice as well as well as some suggestions on personal emotional issues. Today in so grateful to be in the program! It goes way beyond not drinking - it teaches me how to live!!!
For me just not drinking (or drugging) is just not enough!!!
Prayers for the struggling!!!
Congratulations to today's celebrants!!!

Checking in on day 70. This is my longest sober stretch in 23 years.
Dane mentioned 'going beyond just not drinking' and I feel that too. I know 70 days is nothing in the bigger scheme of things but for me, that gradually increasing number gives me momentum and a sense of achievement.
A lot of things are changing, or perhaps it would be more accurate to say I'm changing a lot of things. Those closest to me might not like the changes much but I like myself better- they'll get over it.
I love my sober life, I love my sr family and am eternally grateful for the support so unconditionally given.
6.55 after the longest, most refreshing sleep since late 2009
