I had some messy-list-problems yesterday, so please excuse any omissions!
Searching for patron saints, I looked for the patron saint of trees, but couldn’t find one. Saint Joseph is the patron saint of woodworkers, though, and so the patron of the shipbuilders for Aeneas who chopped down Cybele’s sacred grove, and the Renaissance artists when they carved out of wood. And the furniture maker and builder.
Christ in the Carpenter’s Shop, detail, George de la Tour, 1645, in the Louvre, Paris.
If this is what they meant by humanism, I'm for it. See you all here tomorrow!
And remember to check in later for the Monday-to-Sunday list, where I try to correct all my mistakes!

St Boniface was credited with the fir tree.
Hi working on my character defects like ego and pride I know all of this good after I go through but went I'm in it is painful, but I want this new life this sober life.
Ok let me have another 24 hrs.
And for those struggling keep going, after you pass you get stronger.

And for those struggling keep going, after you pass you get stronger.
You are standing on holy ground.
I often ask myself, "Where are your feet?" I do it when I start thinking/fretting about the past, the future, or if I start trying to figure out what some other person was thinking or why they did something. It reminds me to take a minute, look around, and be grateful for right now. It is down to me, in this moment.
And that is enough.
7:18 AM. 24 more, by grace.

A special shoutout to lanier, PeppermintPatty, site1Q84, and CaseyW who are on the Monday-to-Sunday list for the first time since I’ve been keeping it!
To anyone who wonders what I think of all this commitment stuff ...I think that anyone who can do a week can do a week every week every month every year! That’s why I look for you here every day. And if you’re not on the list for whatever reason, the next week begins with NOW!

8am here. I've definitely been letting some things slide lately and not being as diligent with recovery/meetings/personal care and been considering drinking again in the far off future of 'one day',
I feel like I could end up picking up a drink if I don't get on top of it all
But won't drink for 24 more hours

9.13 AM here in Melbourne, the start of another working week
I'm off to my first meeting at my AA home group in quite a few months.
Got a bit exasperated over some of the dogmatists.
Still I see it as a worthwhile fellowship.
Getting close to month 25 ....& watch those triggers.
