Good Morning Lovely Littermates.

Della - good morning.
Kitty - it's wonderful to wake up feeling good and energetic. You are right, hold that thought and feeling in your mind.

Middy how did you luck out with such a long extended vacation?! I'm envious
Have a good day BBQ, keep on fighting the good fight. How is the battle against the smoking going?

Kitty the quitting smoking is not going so well I am reading the book suggested by one of our Littermates (I forget who) and I am going to follow the plan it outlines. Nothing else has helped so I'm going to give it my all.
The book is Allen Carr's The Easy Way to Quit Smoking.
I'm only about a quarter into it so I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for asking.
How are you doing?

I just had a very sad moment. I realized that I'm going to miss my son's spring choir concert because I'll be in jail. It made me cry.

I just want this jail thing over with. I get sentenced May 18th and will go straight to jail. I try not to dwell on it too much but sometimes it hits me hard, like this morning.

Hi Marty! I'm sorry xoxo
I missed the post about you having to go to jail! How long?

BBQ: I suggested the book the good thing is at least you can smoke for the duration of reading the book
I hope it works for you! It worked for me magically, but only ONCE. I started again after a couple months because it was so easy to quit, I have tried to quit again and read the book, but it doesn't work for me past that one time.
I have his easy way to quit drinking, perhaps cooper, kitty and I could read it since we've all relapsed recently.

Marty making pita bread esounds therapeutic.

Thanks Jen. It was you that recommended the book. I have the audio book.
I'll have time later this afternoon to listen to another few chapters.
I wonder why it only worked for you one time.

Good morning y'all!

Oh Marty!! My heart just dropped when I read that! I'm so sorry! Listen, all this will be over with soon...just imagine how relieved and happy you're going to be when it's all behind you! We are here supporting you always! Hugs ❤️

Kitty....I hope you get some additional support and maybe write down how great you feel right now...no hangover, well rested, as well as the negative stuff...how scared you are and how awful you felt...that way next time you're tempted you can look at it and make the choice not to drink. ❤️ I truly believe you can get and stay sober!

Sis B....I know quitting the cigs is tough! But I know you can, just like you quit drinking! ❤️

We miss you Biggie! Check in when you can!

Have a great day y'all!
Xoxo

Jen - I'll have to be in jail 11-14 days. I wish they could waive it, since I'm doing all the right things, but my lawyer says the judge rarely does that. I can hope, but I have to be realistic. It would be a lot worse if I were not participating in the diversion program and in compliance with that. 60 days, I think.

But I'm on day 148 sober. I have to remember that, and how far I've come since December.

This is what counts! You've turned your life around and that's huge!
You will serve your time and keep moving forward like you've been doing the last 148 days! Well done, Marty!
