Class of March 2015 Part 3
Not seeing friends makes things easier for me. So I am reluctant to resume a social life. I am liking the focused solitude, the getting a lot done per day--and all the rest that goes with decisively turning to inner resources.
That's all I can think of to write at the moment, but I wanted you to know I am following your experiences even though I do not have much to say.

Congrats on one month Secretary and one week Chewy!
Happy Easter everyone! Just a quick check in... Today marks 28 days sober for me. I don't even remember what I did for Easter last year but I'm glad that I'll remember this year
Have a great day everybody! For those of you who are struggling today, stay close to SR. I know I'll be reading and posting when we get to brunch and the mimosa bar starts calling my name.... :/

Day 7 here following my last disgusting binge, going good!
About to take the dog for a nice long walk on the beach - friends are having an Easter brunch this morning and I'm tempted to go since I really miss them and love the tapas bar it's held at, but I know it'll be too difficult to turn down the alcohol (can seem to mostly do that ok around family now, but these are particularly pushy always-tipsy friends)
Haven't really seen anyone outside of aa friends for nearly three months when I started all this, but there'll be other opportunities to catch up..
Hope everyone's having a good day/night and congrats to the milestones!

Echo! Thanks for posting this -- I need to keep remembering this was my situation. "Just one" just doesn't happen.
Day 20.
Feeling pretty good about that.
The most important thing I've begun to understand is that drinking isn't going to make me happy.
It just isn't.
And now I understand that, not doing something that isn't going to make me happy is SO much easier.
Just wanted to share.
Happy Monday everyone.

Hi guys
I haven't been posting often in this thread although it's where I belong - I'm at 9 days now and I feel great. Went through a few horrendous cravings over the long weekend but thankfully got through them!
