Oh lord, Della. I blush ALL the time. It's a big joke amongst my friends here. They like to see how many times in a night they can make it happen. It's so embarrassing!

It's going to be slate grey. My living room is burgundy and I have black, white and red in the bathroom so I think grey will tie it all in the best. I am doing the kitchen grey and a pale yellow next.

Rub it in Brynn

I think the goal here today should be to make Della blush.

Rainy Sunday am........plans to meet with my sponsor today. He is a long time family friend. He is going to help me get started on the "steps" which I think is a long time coming for me. It's become pretty clear over the last 2 years of me trying to maintain sobriety, that I need to find a way to deal with the things inside that keep me picking up. Hope everyone has a great day!

I haven't!!! But I love ottis redding too! Sam cooke is one of my favourites as well.

Ooooo! The little bird flew on to the hood of my hoodie!! I haven't been trying to bug him or touch him because I don't know what he's used to, he's been pretty quiet, but this morning he's singing, eating and landed on my hood, so I think he feels safe now!

Have a good day Mary, and as hard as it is, try to enjoy the process

My professor says that about writing long difficult papers I found that I actually do since he said that, instead of stressing out about it.

Awww he trusts you. When the kids were little we had cockatiel and parakeets. I had one parakeet who learned to say his alphabet. He must have picked it up from me teaching the kids.

Cadillac Records is a good movie....about that record label & Etta James & other blues singers of that time & their addictions.

My Son brought the school cockateil home when he was about 8 or 9 years old.....the day he brought her home, I thought it would be a good idea to take her to the pet store & buy what we needed & find out a little about how to care for her. So I took her & both boys (other boy was about 4 years old), the guy took her out of the cage, told us she was a female & said she needed her wings clipped.....as he was clipping her wings, she flew off, slamming into the big windows, then fell to the floor & we watched as the pet store cat ran over to her......My Sons were crying (had only had her for about 2 hrs), I was screaming & ran over to her......she was OK & we got free wing & claw clippings for life. We all left the store traumatized, but our little bird Camille, lived with us for years.

Mary, sounds like a good solid plan! It's nice to be able to do the work with someone you're already comfortable with I imagine. Stay in the moment and take it all in!

Della...the color sounds perfect! And I love yellow and gray together!

Jen, I think you've got a new best friend! You're a good bird momma! And I love Etta James too...never seen that movie though Mary....will have to check it out!

Where's kitty? We miss you...check in when you can! ❤️

Tonks, can I pay you in tacos??

Mary, I'm glad you are doing what needs to be done to address things. I'm going to try to follow your example. Terrifying about the bird! I would have freaked out!

Jen, jazz is where it is at. I love Ottis Redding, Etta, and Sam Cooke. I like playing jazz more than listening I think. I was in a jazz band when I was in high school. Sadly, we only had as much soul and funk as a Zatarain's commercial.

I just got stuck watching some kids for an hour and a half and some little squirt coughed right in my face before I even knew what hit me. Hello infection, goodbye surgeries. Kids are just so flippin awesome.
