Wednesday 6.30 am here - today marks 5 months since I got sober. I am really enjoying my new way of life. I've got to say alcohol has been on my mind a bit over the last few days but I remember this happened around 3 months too. Anyway I haven't succumbed to the temptation! I have an interview today for an extra day a week job. I've really tried to read up in preparation. Anyway I will give it my best shot. I've booked a massage for after work today to celebrate. Thanks SR.

Confession: I have these absolutely beautiful wine glasses; a couple of months into sobriety, I dusted them off, began filling them with my frozen M&Ms and spooning them into my mouth at night. Somewhere along the way, there was an "association adjustment"; now I see my beautiful wine glasses and no longer think of chardonnay.

Leaving for work tonight. My next check-in will be from the gulf. I always thought I wanted a career - turns out I just wanted the paychecks! I owe, I owe, so it's off to work I go! But I'm still sober, and when I look around at what I've been given I can't help but recognize just how blessed I really am!!!

It's Seniors Week here in Melbourne with lots of free and really cheap entertainment.
Trains, trams and buses are all free, city and country.
I'm thinking of going to the rock'n roll dance.........
Much better ways to relax than with a drink or a pill.
