24-Hour Recovery Connections - Everyone Welcome - Part 11
Been depressed last night and this morning, but going to stay sober. Drinking makes me way more depressed and I seriously think about suicide when drinking.
So, no alcohol for me. Maybe tomorrow I'll feel better.
Wish I had a Charlee and Zeus. Maybe some day. Congrats airwick and Goat ! Proud of you guys.

Robin, hope you feel better soon. Drinking made my depression so much worse too and there were days that when I drove to work that I would tell myself my family would be better off without me. I still have sadness and dark days but nothing like that anymore and I can see how much my family needs me. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Hi all! I've been absent from this thread for a few days, but I've stayed sober the whole time. A much needed wave of peacefulness hit me last night, and it helped to really reaffirm all of the blessings I am finding in staying away from alcohol. And for that I am ever so grateful!
So here I am happily signing in at 2:06 pm in sunny Southern California for another 24 hours of sobriety!
Much love and peace to everyone.

It's 4:40pm, Mojave time. The start of a new week is upon us. Prayers all around for a week of peace and serenity.
Seeing charlee home and his girl, csm, by his side, is a good start. Yay, charlee! Glad to have you back, buddy.
I'd love another 24, please. Thank you to courage and csm, for taking care of this special thread.
peace.

Today’s flower: Daylilies, genus Hemerocallis. There are thousands of varieties. Most of them have flowers that only bloom for one day, but they grow in clumps and the stalks carry so many buds that flowers are abundant. When I was a kid I’d be disappointed to see the flowers starting to wither so soon after blooming and surprised the next morning at what seemed like a whole new crop! Individually is not where they’re seen best – they’re most splendid if you see them blooming in great fields. Daylilies are a bit like our community here – some blooms come and some go, but we have a perennially fabulous field, one day at a time!

. Loving the flower photos Courage. I just had a slice of German Chocolate cake that I made today. mmmmm..... When I was drinking my 2 bottles of Cab a night I didn't have dessert. Though I do remember eating red licorice ( dipping the vines in the wine). Well, it's that time to check in for another 24 hours of my recovery. I hope everyone had a good weekend.
