Saw a teenage girl outside McDonald's just now...smoking and taking a "selfie"...ahhh the innocence of youth...she thinks she will always find it easy to look good. I get told I look well...when I exercise, eat gardens of salad, drink green tea etc. etc. but every so often (like right now) I go on a mad ice-cream bender and forget about suncreen...I will re-start the healthy eating plan after I finish this americano and chocolate and almond croissant

Hi friends!! I've been MIA from 24 hour connections because I've been feeling pretty strong and haven't needed to take it 24 hours at a time these past few days. But this weekend I am back!

This would be a major "party weekend" for me and well it's still a party, but that doesn't mean getting wasted! Wedding rehearsal tonight, wedding tomorrow. Parties and new people I don't know. I did great last night. Everyone was drinking. I made a beautiful salad and convinced people we should go for a walk and dance

8:53 am in Rhode Island. I am promising myself --giving myself-- another 24 hours.

TGIF now that for me have a better meaning. I don't had to rush after work to the liquor store and look for an alley to start drinking. Specially here in BC Canada is a long weekend just relaxing enjoying the weather ( no rain ). Here I go for another 24 more.
Everybody have a wonderful sober and clean Friday.

I must admit I did have a thought or two about drinking when I got close to home, but I quickly pushed those thoughts aside. I don't want to go back to feeding my disease. My dad is living in his alcoholism, so much worse than I ever was, and I'm seeing first hand what I do not want to be. The best way I know not to become what he is is to continue what I'm doing now. I know that if I keep on the way I was, then sooner or later I'd be where my dad is now. I love my dad, but right now thinking of him in his current condition keeps me sober.

And with that I'm in for 14 more!!!
