The 24 Hour Club Sign Up Sheet, Part 31, All Are Welcome!
8:36 a.m. Didn't check in yesterday because I was away at my Mom's but I am still sober and am very grateful to be. Hope everyone is doing and well and if not, don't ever give up the good fight, I fell down too many times to count but I have *real* hope this time that I never thought I could have. Stay connected and stay strong you can do it! .... in for another 24 hours of freedom
Signing in for 24 more. Had a beautiful, sober Christmas. Had to deal with a few cravings and wistful moments, but recognized where they were coming from, took some deep breaths and let them pass. And they did. Enjoying time at home with the family today. Have a peaceful day everyone.

So..
Here we are and Christmas is winding down.
Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday! Was good to see so many of you check in the last
couple days. Really awesome that you stuck to your commitment!
I know many of you were successful and it shows, a lot of positive posts with your check ins.
I hope you used this site if you were tempted.
If you slipped well that's really to bad but it is not the end of the world unless you added a few
more consequences to your story, and sometimes those inner consequences are the hardest to
cope with. The shame and regret. But you just have to shake it off.
It may be time to take a deeper look. Maybe what you are doing is not enough. SR is awesome
for support but for some people it is not enough.
It's definitely not enough for me. I have many tools in my tool box.
Please don't ever give up, if what you are doing is not working it may be time to try something
different.
Recovery is about change and if nothing changes
nothing changes.
Some of the greatest gifts and lessons in life are missed because of our inability to be open
minded.
We need to take suggestions from people who are staying clean and sober and who are
reasonably happy. We will not know if they work unless we take them.
There are angels all around us in other people trying to save our lives, we need to start paying
attention. The answers could be right there in front of us.
God Bless Everyone!
What are we going to different today?

Deeker you are right, SR is wonderful but for me is not enough, like you I got many tools all around me.
but I do enjoy coming here first thing in the morning and sign up it give some sense accountability for my sobriety.
a like Mandela's "long walk to freedom" phrase it make some kind of sense in my head as what I doing now walking away from alcohol and drugs and walking towards a new me.
and today a like another 24 hrs. of freedom
