Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. Or... Happy Hump day!

Footprints in the Sand, a beautiful poem!
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you
this poem give the strength to know that I don't need to drink or get high on crack, went I feel alone, sad, self pity, my HP is with me and choose to call it Jehovah God.
and today I choose to have another 24 hrs. more

Been feasting on all the holidays goodies - sugar overload! Just put the ham in the oven, gotta get the taters peeled, veggies ready. Taking a plate to my mom's later as she's alone. So very nice to be clear-headed and sober today! Another 24 hours please!

Boxing day here and another new year just round the corner. That was quick!

I am glad you stopped in on Christmas Day. Please join us in a real promise to
not drink or drug for this 24 Hours No Matter What!
You will be so glad you did when you wake up in the morning . Let's do the right thing
for ourselves, for our families, for our future!

today we will make an exception. If you need to recommit at anytime over Christmas

Mary Did You Know
Out in the fields, an angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds who were tending
their flocks of sheep by night. The angel announced that the Savior had been born in
the town of David.
Suddenly a great host of heavenly beings appeared with the angels and began
singing praises to God.
As the angelic beings departed, the shepherds decided to travel to Bethlehem and see
the Christ-child.
There they found Mary, Joseph and the baby, in the stable. After their visit, they began
to spread the word about this amazing child and everything the angel had said about
him. They went on their way still praising and glorifying God.
But Mary kept quiet, treasuring their words and pondering them in her heart. It must
have been beyond her ability to grasp, that sleeping in her arms—the tender child
she had just borne—was the Savior of the world.

It's Christmas Day and Today I give Thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who
changed my life and who many others as well as myself celebrate today.
I don't share this message everyday but today is Christmas Day so please bare with me.
I was a hopeless drunk and pill addicted junkie. I recomitted my life to Jesus, invited him
into my heart and I have never been the same.
He died for my sins - yesterdays, todays and the future, cleansed me of all my past shame and
guilt and has given me hope for a new beautiful future.
He has given my life purpose. I no longer just exist.
I pray that one day that you all would know how wide and deep is the love God has for you!
My Sin seperated me from God for he is so Holy and just but through Jesus, God made a way.
John 3:16
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in
him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I now have that assurance. It is where I find my strength, peace and joy today.
Life on earth is a whole lot easier to deal with when you have a heavenly perspective.
