Yep, so I do have news indeed

Suze came to visit the USA (and me!) last fall... And now we are engaged! She will be moving to Ohio very soon.

I never imagined 8 years ago when I joined SR what an incredible impact it would make on every facet of my life. I am truly happy, and very blessed.

Well... I do have some big news too.

I am pregnant, due in August. I have too to admit, I have lots of mixed feelings about it. I am excited and happy, but also it wasn't really intentional and I have no idea how things are going to work out with the dad. So I feel worried and stressed at times too.

But it also makes me so thankful to be sober for so many different reasons. I feel like whatever happens I can handle it, even if I throw myself occasional pity parties thinking how much it'll suck if I end up having to do this on my own.

Still, I'm excited and I'm sure once the baby is born I'll love it to death.

Some Venus person told me this thread was back up and going! Good to see you all and of course CONGRATS! again to Suze and Nick or more fun Venuscat and Goat. My friends would think I was drinking again if I told them "Hey, guess what? Venuscat is marrying Goat!"

You know the last time someone told me to"come visit" I surprised them and did! So you never know.. Columbus is not all that far.

Congrats on the news DG!

Wish I could say I was approaching 4 years sober but am not since I had some relapses last fall. But sober since 11/1/16 again and looking forward to more. I am thankfully not anywhere like I used to be.
