Morning all,Chuff do you try to get a kip on a Friday before your shifts? My daughter has recently become a full time police officer and really struggles with the shifts, and my son works 12 hour shifts at a local manufacturer nights and days. I hope my happy nappy chappy Chuff has a great shift!war of the roses? Son of York or Lancastrian? I bet you gave the serving wenches a hard time!!

The serving wenches at these events are bigger than me, I wouldnt have dared!!
Yorkists mainly Toots, but we were always open to bribery and corruption!!
Dont sleep before my shift, am quite lucky really can get away with very little sleep so I can enjoy the day.

Well Friday was good toots! 
Hey, did you Pommie friends see that we Australians won the Chelsea Flower Show? We've won medals before but never the whole thing, apparently even the queen was chuffed!
I made a sad sad discovery today. In January I finally remembered to do something I've been meaning to do for years: brandy peaches, they'll be ready next week. Sigh. I guess a number of friends as well as hubby are going to enjoy them. Sigh.

Haha Marcher timing is everything! I bet brandy peaches would be sweet and nasty- well, tell yourself that anyhoo! As for the flower show, this pommie cultivates weeds and not much else, so all iknow of the show is that this year gnomes were invited for the first time!!! ( did you go Chuff??) 🍀🌹🌺 congratulations aussies!!

Hi Mick - still hanging in there
Glad everyone is doing so well. I lurk and read every day but just haven't posted so much recently.
As I said earlier the 'lodgers' have been with us for 6 weeks and I am feeling a little bit weary! Could be another 6 weeks at least. Husband has spoken to nephew today and told him if anything like last weekend happens again he will definintely have to find somewhere else to stay (drunk, police brought home at 4am). Nephew has apologised and says he would have thrown himself out lol
Lovely sunny day here too (sorry Mick). Plans for a lovely (drink free) weekend - I have joined the weekend support thread too. Sorry you have to work all weekend Mick - but it will probably be raining anyway lol

I am enjoying reading your posts over here, across the pond, but I am lost as far as their meanings. Okay, I do get the war of the roses references. Every thing I know about that I learned by reading Philippa Gregory. How accurate is that?
