Jim, good for you, you deserve to be sober. I know I'm repeating myself here but you've always been such a great support to everyone is this group. I hate to see you struggling.

SBTS, just 8 days to 6 months sober.
I can sell you some shares for Irn Bru, Jim. I think I own the company now.
I buy 2 litre bottles for the house and buy small bottles and cans when I am out.
I must admit that I am now a bit of a tea addict as well.
Stay sober everyone, it doesn't matter how, just don't drink.

Morning Sober September class, day 5 for me now (that went fast) more focused and determined to stay sober. Amazing how much clearer things become after a few days mentally and physically. I've decided to work today to try and replace the money I spent on the beast. My GF wants to do a cake decorating course so I thought I could pay for her to go when I find a local course. Have a great Saturday. X

Good Morning everyone, happy saturday. Jim congrats on day 5 thats wonderful, glad to hear you are staying strong! A cake deco class sounds fun, enjoy the samples - yumm 
Once I start working again I am definately going to look into taking some type of evening cooking class or art class. I think it would be fun!

Hello to you all, I hope you are feeling good.
Saturday early evening in Scotland. My team got hammered 3 - 0, severely depressed.
Nothing to do, the T.V. is rubbish and I am bored out of my skull.
I am going to start playing my Football Manager 2012, in the game, Motherwell have won the SPL, Scottish Cup and League Cup for the past 6 years and are in the final of the Champions League for the 3rd year in a row.
Time for a wee bit of escapism with a braw cup of tea.
I am not going to have a drink.

Hi, just a follow up to my previous post.
I was starting to feel sorry for myself but that has passed now. phew.
7 days to go until I am 6 months sober.
Another sober Saturday, but my god it is a struggle sometimes.

Happy Sunday Afternoon (here). Well, glad to hear you beat the urge - 6 more days my friend and you'll have 6 months that is wonderful! And yep I can totally relate about the urge creeping up, saturday nights are tough. I had some crazy urges last night but watched the movie Argo instead. (good movie btw) See you all at the podium tomorrow
