Soberjim: you sound like you have gained insight which will truly help. Gaining insight from relapse is a smart thing to do.

But we also gain much insight by not relapsing, and seeing what happens, then. As you are and will continue to notice, it is pretty amazing stuff!

Good morning all, just wanted to share with you that I've hit day 70 today and it feels good! So if I can do it so can you. I can't say the ride has always been easy but it's well worth it.
Let's see you all posting, if you've having a hard time, come and tell us about it, you could be helping someone else who is struggling, if you're having a good time, come and share it, it helps motivate others. Good times and bad times, we are all in this together and it works better when we help each other!

Just for today I will open my eyes and thank the Universe for one more day
Just for today I will look in the mirror and find one thing I like about myself
Just for today I will smile at a stranger in the traffic
Just for today I will greet someone I don't particularly like - and mean it
Just for today I will sing a song and not care if I am off key or who hears
Just for today I will do something I want to do, no matter what anyone else thinks
Just for today I will give someone a word of affirmation - not because I have to, but because I want to
