Class of April 2012
April,
3 months ago I quit Tobacco with the help of another internet forum. They used a really cool system called "Roll Call" whereby each day you commit to making a post to renew your commitment to quitting.
I have created a spreadsheet that I will update every single day with a green square to indicate my commitment for that day. I ask that all of you join me by posting here and adding a green square next to your name on the spreadsheet.
Please PM me your e-mail address for access to edit the spreadsheet
EDIT: Dang, I can't post clickable links here until I have over 15 posts If you copy and paste this in to your browser, it will work:

Hi. I will join April class too. Day 62. I've been having strange thoughts lately.
Im struggling to hear that my close friend who is drinking very rarely will go to the small party and will enjoy the drink there. I almost can't live with this thought.
Why can't I be like that?

because you're not that person HF?
You have your own gifts and talents and a million other things that are uniquely you...I think would be a mistake to focus too much on such a small thing as being able to take or leave drinking.

Not joining I am sticking firm with March, like Purplecatlover, I wanted to encourage all of you that decide to quit in April, you all can do this, tomorrow is three weeks for me SR helped a lot and I am sure it will help you as well. Enjoy your newfound sobriety.
Panic Attack, ER
Today I took my first dose of Librium. Had a MASSIVE panic attack that landed me in the emergency room. They took vitals (all fine), blood work (came out all fine), IV of fluids, and I was released with a new prescription for Valium, as I thought I had a reaction to the Librium.
Feeling fine now. Had a fruit/flax seed/protein powder shake for breakfast, and big salad for dinner. Took a great walk with my kids, and feel pretty great. No shakes, and anxiety is subsiding big time. Last drink was 9 pm last night.
I am dreading that something horrible detox wise will happen at work tomorrow. But now I am wondering if I am just a huge hypochrondriac.
Thanks for listening all. And I look frward to being part of this class with you.

Hey all,
I'm joining up.
I've been on and off again for awhile and lurked around SR for ages but time to get really serious about it and make the mental shift.
Looking forward to sharing the journey with you all.
