Have fun at the game, Mirage. If you are talking about those new Ocean Spray cans, they are awesome!

I AM talking about those! Wonder why they're so little? That's the only thing.

I don't know, but they are healthy, too. Carbonated mineral water and natural fruit juices. I'm a san pellegrino fan, and buy it by the case at Costco. I also like the orange san pellegrino, but can't find it except in a mixed case with lemon, which i don't like. We had a street festival this summer where Ocean Spray was giving those cans away, and I went and bought a bunch of it afterward. Good stuff. And a lot less expensive than booze!

I don't know those drinks at all. I have noticed a lot of people posting about looking for new things to drink now they are sober, for me I haven't added any new drink really I just drink more tea or coffee than I used to. The other thing I like is plain old water with a squeeze of lemon in it , its great for a hot day.

G'morning, all!

Sunday a.m.'s have become a nice tranquil place in my life. Actually, so have Mon thru Sat., but Sunday's are special.

I believe I am about a week without nicotine today. It was a little crazy last week, but in a good way! Day 43 of sobriety. Each day, I get a little more of me back, it seems. And, I've been able to open up to my wife a little more each week.

I like this journey! Thanks to all of you for your support, encouragement, friendship.

Enjoy a serene Sunday...satisfyingly sober!

Ok...Dave is AWOL...where ya at buddy? Was it anything I said? Hope not! Hope you are just off having a great family time.

Mirage...how was the game? Calvin Johnson got me 14 pts! I watched the Emmy's too, and saw the SR 3/11 teams fav of Modern Family were the big winners. I guess I'll have to start watching it more!

Frances...hope your weekend was great!

Aussie...more pics of your homeland would be welcome! Since our seasons are opposite, we should have a pic exchange to keep sunny days in our lives all the time!

TOI...RA...how are you doing?

Have a great, productive, sober week, all!

Glad your visit went well, Frances!

Game was great! 48-3 over the Chiefs! It's always great to go to the game, but I do miss the commentating and better view on t.v. I could hardly hear the ref give the penalty calls. I needed a penalty call hand book. Anyway, I had a lot of fun. Glad Calvin came through for ya! Oh and I got a sweet white jersey with pink numbers and letters with Suh on the back. (Ndamukong Suh is a defensive tackle who's awesome.) Some guy on the street gave me crap about it, jokingly asking if Suh "signed off" on having his name on a pink jersey. haha

It's a rainy Monday morning here. Just drove my youngest to the bus stop, but not before the "when I was your age, we WALKED to school in the rain!" lecture. Those are always fun. Have a great day, everyone!

Good Day All! Wow! What a weekend. I am on the booster club for my sons cross country team. Well we hosted the annual invitational this year.....I did not understand all of the work that is required to put on such an event. We started about noon Friday and went home....got to few hours sleep back at 500a on Saturday and home finally by 3p. NON stop work! But it was really fun!!!! There were 25 schools from the southeast US and It went off without a hitch. Caught a few football games and went to bed. Got up cleaned house and Went out on the boat for the remainder of the day. Busy Yet outstanding weekend. Something I did notice......Saturday afternoon When I was at my most fatigued.....I wanted a beer!!!! Thank God that I recognized what was going on or I would have folded. Instead I went to the store and cooked a pot of red beans and rice and cruised through the rest of the night. I guess I just needed a little gas. I know I know....poor taste but I couldnt resist.

Swiss Miss Rocks!!!!!

Lofty - All of the above is not true. I was laying(Lying, what ever tense it is suppose to be) in the fetal position.... in a cold dark room...listening to Sade. Wondering were we went wrong. HA HA. Man you know that you could not offend me. I was just busier that a one legged man in an ass kickin contest. No offense to anyone missing an extremities.
Like water off a ducks back. My job has turned me into the man of steel. Can not be offended. Cannot be broken. At least not since I cried that one time and my boss had to set me straight. But that is for another day.
Ladies....glad that you came back to the party.
Happy sober day to All
Peace Love and Happiness
DAve

Not gonna get rid of us THAT easy, Dave. Woot Woot on your triple-awesome weekend esp. running right over the sneaky beer voice.

At the party Saturday night I drank sparkling cider with all the little kids instead of champagne. Funny to watch the white wine drinkers top up their glasses.....and funny how good it was to be sober at the end of the night and have energy to help clean up!

Drinking booze is the furthest thing from my mind as I keep moving towards feeling happier.

Frances...I feel ya on the drinking with the kids. There is something to there energy level. I never understood the play it through thing.....I do now. The truth be known.....if the adults are drinking....I'd rather hang with the kids. I guess we are on the same maturity level.

Just checking in with the mighty Marchers (whispers that the September group are great, but will forever & always have special place in my heart for my March mates).

Peace & love in abundance to all after your collective exhausting weekends x

Ahhh...it's great to hear from all the March peeps (except TOI...where are you). I was missing all your voices over the weekend...those are your voices I hear, right?

Glad to know all is right in the world. I think my work life is about to get very crazy busy in the very near future, so I'm trying to get as organized as possible to prepare for that.

It's been a lousy Monday today; gloomy weather, PMSing wife...the kind of monday that used to make me say, "hey, get drunk! Beats the alternative of wanting to kill yourself!"

I think I have a lot to talk to my therapist about at the end of the week...

Hey Rebs..good to see you! You're in our hearts, too! Muah!

Dave, that invitational sounds fun! (not really, but kinda) Sounds like a nice weekend, tho. Your post was very funny. Fine..Swiss Miss it is then. It's just such a stupid name.
"Mmmm..this hot cocoa is delicious! So rich, creamy, just the right amount of sweet contrasting the bitterness of the chocolate. Where oh where could you have found such a delicate blend and what, pray-tell, is it's name?"
"It's called Swiss Miss and I got it at Kroger."
Who thinks up these names??

Give it to God, Aussie...we don't know what we don't know. If it does turn out to be bad news? Give that to God as well. You are in my prayers. I hope the results are better than you expect. Don't let the worries work on your head! Stay sober!
