I'm still here Teach!
Woke up this morning with a clear head.
Hands are rock solid...not a hint of any shakies ....
I really like feeling like this!
Every day sober is a new adventure.
It's like a new life again!
I think I FINALLY have myself in the headspace I was in last year....
Where my sobriety is the single most important thing...and no way I'm gonna let anything or anybody
interfere with that.
Hard to believe this thread is ONE year old now !!
Happy New Year everybody!

Good morning class.
That is better that the two of you are back in class. I am going to make a habit of a small but clever post everyday again just like the old days when we started this journey.
The assignment for the day is for the two of you to post one of those cutesy little pictures that I used to look forward to.
Don't make me have to get out the dunce hat again either.

Hey class,
hope all is well with everyone. Nice to see Richard, VC and of course the always reliable Fub posting.
I used to attend class everyday or least visit the class daily. A few times I received a "malware" notice and being the cautious non-techy type, I of course didn't enter the site...
All is well down here, colder than we are used to in south central Texas, supposed to get 16F or -8C overnight. Brrrr
Been glued to the TV watching all the college football bowl games, sad it's over now. But, looking forward to the NFL playoffs. Good luck to your NE Patriots VC, too bad about Welker... he'll be dearly missed.
I'll start checking in again daily... as long as the "malware" welcome notice stays away

Good morning class.
Back to the gym and still looking for that elusive six pack. I found one in the mirror in the change room but unfortunately it wasn't mine.
I got home still optomistic and started to research it on the web.
I looked under transference thinking that maybe there was a way to transfer it through the mirror but apparently transference has nothing to do with that so I gave up on that idea.
I will get one.

Good on you VC. I hate to even say this but one day at a time------------was a funny sitcom with Mackenzie Philips and Valerie Bertinelli and Schneider.
Those were the days was a song from another popular sitcom of the same era.
and Joe Cocker redid I get by with a little Help from my Friends.
There may be a message in there somewhere but U don't know what it is.
As you can see I am bored again and still haven't started the phase that has to do with finding a new hobby.
If you are reading Valerie B. it isn't too late to join the 12 week fitness challenge. We have had more success than Jenny Craig and if you are talking to Christie Allie or Oprah hook them up too.

Hi Januarians....
well....I wasn't an official member, but hoped in and out a few times
just needed a lift and so I am reading back posts from the last 6 mos and got started on this one ...
I actually was a July 07 person, but we didn't have class threaads then...so i ended up on the July 08 thread, and the november thread....not sure why lol
Anyhow...I relapsed and drank on and off from July 7th to December 30th...went to rehab 3 times...quit my job and you know the deal..we've all been there in some form or another
Anyhow was thinking of massy and fubar so I stopped in to say hello...I've branch way out of my comfort zone this time in order to find and keep sobriety...kinda scary
OK fubar....i'll lighten up...just wanted to get that out in the open

Thanks for sharing and dropping in ananda.
It is pretty quiet around here.
Massey has been playing hookey for a couple of months now and most of the others have dropped out.
Sorry to hear about your troubles but I know you will bounce back and land back on your feet as you have before.
Drop by anytime.
We are a small group and can always use another kidder around.
Does love still suck?

Good morning class.
Good to see everyone checking in.
We went to see Up in The Air last night at the movies starring George Clooney. It was a cutesy little story but I don't think it is Oscar material.
There was problems with the projector and the manager came out and gave everyone a free pass to another movie for the delay.
After he left I said to my wife " I don't think this movie is going to start. It is UP IN THE AIR."
She found this very funny even if you didn't and it may have lead to some marital activity if I was not getting a cold. We don't vo de oh doh when we are getting colds so as not to pass them on. House rule.
Quiz- What sitcom does vo de oh doh come from????
A 0% alcohol free beer for the first correct answer.

Good morning class.
Enough of being the class clown for me.
I have been thinking of moderation so I am going back to the newcomers threads to help me realize that is not the way to go.
All of your examples are helping me with this too and for that I am grateful.

Moderation would never work for me Fub.
When I was 13 I started raiding my parents liquor cabinet.
I would pour a couple of ounces of everything that was in there into an empty 12 oz coke bottle. What a mix! Sure got you wasted though. And that's why I drank...to get wasted.
Maybe you can 'moderate' yourself Fub.
I've been trying my whole life to do that and if I was able to...I wouldn't be here.
It's kinda like potato chips or cashews. I can't have just one.
By the way.....
You and Jsml.....
Congratulations On One Year Sober !!
Well Done !!

Good morning class.
Thanks for the congrats. I will take it since technically I have been sober for the year. I did have those few drunks in Cuba but not enough to get buzzed.
Since my definition of sober is not getting drunk I am there although a lot of people here would not agree with that definition, which is fine since what anybody else thinks has got little to do with me.
