OzSandy - I was in Sydney, Brisbane, and Cairns this summer (winter for you) and we had a great time. I like it a little cooler, hence why we went during your winter, so I understand. Stay cool.

Good morning
Been busy fighting with the cable company over my internet bill and the insurance company over health benefits they did not pay us for. These are two companies that seem to allows try to rip people off. I hate confrontation. It is enough to drive you crazy if you let it.
In the past this may have led to getting drunk but now it just makes me want to ignore anyone that works for these companies.
That is my whine for today.

Hi Richard -

Thanks. Not really much of a secret. It is just hard work.

1. I attend at least 1 AA meeting per week
2. I talk to my sponsor at least once per week
3. I spend about 30 minutes per day (minimum) reading and posting on SR
4. I am the speaker at an AA meeting about once a month
5. I have recently started going out on 12th step calls, working directly with active alcoholics and helping to take them to meetings
6. I am actively working the steps
7. I try to meditate about 5 minutes in the morning to start my day
8. I try really hard to be self-aware about when I am getting anxious due to my "control everything" defect of character

... with all that, who has time to drink?

So, no secret. Just work.

Hi ME.......nice to see ya.

Glad you made it thru the day Sand and I am glad you had your buddy with ya.

Fub, I know your frustration........the phone company did that to me.....I pay bills online and had the bank confirmation that I had paid.......still they said oh no you didn't......it took months and I was really p&*& off........

I got up at 4am today for the part-time job. It was ok...kinda brainless but that's ok at that time in the morning. Next week I get up at 3. EWWW!!

Hello all and good day eh.
Sounds like it is crazy there Sandy. When I read your posts about the blistering heat there our cold wheather here doesn't seem too bad but I don't have to go out ever if I don't want to.
The farthest I a may make it today is down in the mall for coffee. I am always lazy on Saturday after a week of working out and walking miles.

4 million dollars worth??? Wow! Is that going to create a shortage or is it abundant there?

Fub, I am surprised that YOU pay for a fancy, yuppy price for a cup of Joe............
Interesting............or do you really go to the mall to spot women?? LOL...Aren't you too old for that? You need a new suit if you hope to get a head turn............and take that goofy look off your face!!!!!!!

Good morning class.
Week 2 here...

My team the B.C Lions won yesterday!

They now advance to play Montreal next Sunday.

The winner of that game will play in our poor 2nd cousin version of the Superbowl...The Grey Cup..Nov 29 in Calgary.

I won't be drinkin', but I will have a big pot of chili on.........

Live it like it matters.......I like that!

Still reeling from all the crap I had to put up with at bowling last night....(Patriots game)..........ugh. I did bowl pretty good tho....157, 180, 179......not too shabby.

What's everyone doing for Turkey Day? I am going to have a throw together at my house......for all the people we know that have nowhere to go......

How's the new job coming Michael?

Congrats on 2 weeks Richard!
Go Lions

Hey VC, the new job is going well... orientation will take 3 weeks then I'm on my own.

I will spend Thanksgiving day with the in-laws at one of the local river resorts eating and watching football... two of my fav's. University of Texas plays Texas A&M. If all goes as planned, Texas should play Florida or Alabama for the NCAA championship

Hello All.
Turkey day is long gone here in the Northland so this is just another weekend for us.
I don't know what I will be doing but I will not be watching football or HGTV.

I was drunk as a skunk through our Canadian Thanksgiving and I missed out on turkey.

Maybe I'll pretend I'm an American this weekend.

Only in the middle of week 2 here actually. I don't want to get ahead of myself. Going to start counting the weeks instead of days. Next Monday will be the start of week 3.

We could use some of your Australian sunshine up here Sandy.
It's been raining so much I'm starting to rust.
