Changed plans for the day due to the rain, so who knows what the day will have in store for me. Maybe catch up on some stuff around here. Both my kids are home this weekend, I'll make a nice dinner for us.

The guy I went with is the guy who 12 stepped me, Bee.

This wasn't the other guys first meeting, he has been to a few but always drunk, he was fairly drunk this time too but he sobered up as the day went on. We swapped numbers and email address's, I will try to help if I can.
It was good, I enjoyed it. I am sure as time goes on I will be doing more of that type of thing.

Good for you Stone. I know when I have gone on a 12 step call, it has always made me very grateful that I am sober. Definitely keeps your memory green.

I think really, it was a bit soon for me to be around someone who is drunk, I am not even 2 months sober, but I was fine.

The reading from the BB was about 12 step work and being able to go to drinking places etc as long as you are spiritually fit, lol.

No coincidences in AA.

My arm is much better today. Not much going on here today except all the rain. I'm leaving soon for my niece birthday party. She's the big 1-0. Double digits now. LOL

I've never gone on a 12 step call. I don't know how many women around here do that. I know I've heard the guys around here go on 12 step calls.

Yep we do have our stories and there is usually alot to tell.

When I go to detox and speak, I don't dwell too much on the bad stuff that happened because they run with that and start with all their war stories instead, I talk alot about recovery and how my life has changed, giving them some hope. In the rooms though, I do usually share alot of what happened when I went back out.

I'm glad your arm is feeling better Barb.

Hi Stoney This rain is just too much. I don't think we've ever had this much rain.

Hi Believe.

Yeah, this rain sucks. It's ruining our crops around here, they it had on the news the other day from all the rain we had this summer.

Yes Stoney, it is "pouring with rain" not candy,or men, and not cats or dogs, just plain ole rain and lots of it too.

Scaredy, I started out the day going to Rustys POE but too much rain, so I had to cancel. He said they are still doing it in the rain though. Too far for me to drive in rain and hang in rain all day. I really wanted to go.

I don't blame you Believe. It sounds like it would of been fun though.

Well, gotta go. Going to my niece's birthday now, then off to my BB meeting. Talk to you all tomorrow.

If this is coffee, please bring me some tea; if this is tea, please bring me some coffee.

Here too stoney. When I make it on Saturday mornings its good because I make it like at home. Why don't you take a coffee committment? It might be a good idea, and then you will at least have good coffee at least at one meeting

Even though it has rained all day and even though the sky is gray, I am so grateful to be alive and sober. Don't ask me why this has come over me all of a sudden it just has. What a gift we have been given!!!
