God PLEASE grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Thank you!:praying

Least, you can always get a temporary sponsor to start with. Then see how it works out and keep looking for a good fit with someone else. I think it's good to state in a meeting that you are looking for a sponsor too. Just my experience.

I am getting lots done today in regards to going camping (term used loosely) next week.

Still have work to do on video montage but I'm having trouble getting my family members to get me some pics. A bit irritating to me. Oh well, if they don't give me the pics then they won't be in the montage very much.

Hoping you all have a lovely day.

CAn't reach dk, and slept badly last night with disturbing dreams and waking often feeling afraid. I'm going to nap for a while and just hope she is alright. I feel guilty over what I put my parents thru 40 yrs ago...

Least, if she is this inconsiderate, I would call police and report her missing, and then I would go to court and request to make her a ward of the courts. That will snap her out of wanting to do everything her way without any consequences. You seem to have no control of her so let the courts be in control, TURN IT OVER to the judicial system.

Cool. You're right where you need to be, least. I find that that I can never read this section of the BB too often. Bottom of page 60, after the a,b,c, to the bottom of page 63. Close discussion about this section with other recovered alcoholics can be helpful.

And then you make a 4 column inventory, putting your daughter's name in the first column, just like the example. That is how you turn it over.

I'm a little late checking in this morning/afternoon. My lovely indoor declawed cat has been doing much hunting lately - I let him roam the backyard (which is immense) and yesterday he brought home two mice. Alive. Kills them in the basement or elsewhere. I had bad dreams all night/morning about this and about having nests of mice living in my home.

Imagine my surprise when daughter woke me up to tell me there was a very dead chipmunk beside my bed. I recall a lot of claw-scrabbling and activity in my room early this morning but figured the pets were .. playing. Alright I put a pillow over my head I didn't want to hear what was going on. They were killing a chipmunk! It was in my house, alive, overnight! The poor thing! Has anyone ever tried to pick up a dead chipmunk? A mouse, by comparison, isn't so bad. You use some paper towel and a bag. But the chipmunk was big and damp and heavy and stinking. I scraped him between two pieces of cardboard, and GAGGED all the way to the front door with it. Daughter was on my bed watching, and laughed until she cried.

If I wake up with another rodent in my room again, I may end up back in the bughouse.

Good to see you here, New Leaf! and keithj! ...

Nelcs, thank you for sharing your poignant story..I can relate to much of it.

So thankful to be living in sobriety today!

Least..how old is dk now?

I am sorry..for all this. This is a valid concern...her staying out all night and not calling.

It is inconsiderate.

But, dear God, when I lived with my mom years ago, speeding and going to the casino..

with my exbf..I didn't call her either. How she worried. I thought because I was

an adult I could do what I wanted. Not true! It was thoughtless, and uncaring.

I wish I could go back and undo it all. All I can do..is make daily amends by

being a good daughter.

Friends, my only sister is very, very sick. She is going to the hospital shortly..

I am asking thoughts and prayers for her..we don't know what exactly is wrong.

Thanks.

I'm sorry to inform you that last night, Lizzy was carried off by a band of bears. Despite heroic efforts by the Brazilian Soccer team, she could be heard shouting "Just take the S'mores....."

AAARG...I just "lost" a long post addressing the serious issues going on here. Mutter, mutter...must copy along the way...

Let's try again...

Bee, I'm glad that you had a great day because you deserve it!

Least, I'M frustrated with her and I don't even KNOW her! Ditto to the question of her age. The fact is SHE IS LIVING IN YOUR HOUSE AND NEEDS TO OBEY YOUR RULES. How does her father fit into this picture? Also, what do her sibs think of her behavior? I know that my girls are always watching and keeping score. Do they (the sibs) have any influence over her. Sheesh...I'm plum out of suggestions on this...

Ro, ick and sad about the chipmunk. I'm sorry that you had to deal with this BEFORE coffee....

IQ...Prayers going up by fedex for your sister. Hang in there, my friend...

Hi PR, NewLeaf and KeithJ!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Tan...wow 21/2 years. I'm a little jealous, honestly, but you are showing me that it CAN be done!

Hi Nelsie and Stone (BTW, that was VERY funny about the BB page error...heehee...)

OK, I thwarted the "system" by saving my post (cuz I just "lost" it a second time). Take that !!!!!! When I tried to insert a "superwoman" icon, it just deleted tthe post AGAIN...so I am posting this now, b4 I "sock" something
