Im not looking for any advice. More of a precaution.
Hopefully NONE of you are on any kinds of meds.....I have to take them.
I take trazadone for sleep. If I forget about it one night Im coming outta my skin physically and emotionally for at least a day after the fact. Second day is no treat either.....even if I do take the meds the following night as prescribed.
Why is it that they dont write prescriptions for ME that say "as needed"

Anyhow..the mood here is good today. Nice.
Frst.. I take Trazadone for sleep. My script is for 100 mg. but I take 1/2.
It works quite nicely..especially when my bipolar awings up and the mind races at night.
The higher dose made me groggy. Yuck.

Hey I think ur on to something, Stoney! Daughter will be home in a couple of hours. I'm gonna take us out for ice cream after I pick her up. She texted me earlier to say they were on the way home! I love that kid so much.
No meeting for me tonight. I gotta stop eating. Eating junk, and lots of it. WTF.
Hey Scott and Sher, I used to take sleep meds, don't remember what they were called, but my shrink at the same said they weren't habit-forming because of their half-shelf life. He was wrong. It's funny though, I had bad knee pain the other night (kind of like arthritis) and Advil doesn't help so I took Robaxacet (muscle relaxer OTC) and it makes me sleepy. I woke up feeling very rested. Took another the night following. Same thing. But I gotta be careful, I can get messed on them too. So I bought melatonin (I had run out) which is natural and which helps me sleep. Still. Hadn't realized how poorly I must sleep because I frequently feel tired. I would love to go on sleeping pills but it's too risky for a gal/addict like me.

Ro, I can't take sleep med's either, addict here!! Yesterday at mtg my friend said she just came from dr for her cold. And the addict here says "oh did he give you anything good". Doesn't matter that I was at a mtg, the addict is always lurking!!!!!!

Hey, just so no one worries about Scott and I...Trazodone is Desyrel. A mild
antidepressant. It is to be taken at bedtime, and the effect is severe drowsiness.
Terrific for sleep. Non narcotic, non habit forming. Safe.
When I was going through the restraining order thing..I developed hand tremors.
I was shocked when my doc prescribed a mild tranquilizer.
I carried the script in my purse for two weeks..then took it into her and tore it up.
We threw it away in her wastebasket. It was a milestone for me..as if,... if I could
get through this..I could get through anything! Yeah!

Oh I didn't know it was a mild a/d. I would switch to it for that reason alone - the drowsiness.
I'm doing good, Sis. Just putting off cleaning the three cat boxes. and the kitchen. not necessarily in that order.
