Zero would be a heatwave here, minus frigid is our temp du jour.
And the blizzard really stinks and is keeping Queeny from going to pick up her new matress topper that has promised to make my sleep life heaven.
As I look out my window right now....it is snowing sideways!!! That's right folks, I said sideways! None of the "gentle flakes gliding to the ground" stuff here. Just stinking blizzard sideways snow.

My six-year-old niece takes lessons at a studio called Dance Concepts. Forty of the girls...ages six to sixteen...came here yesterday to perform. They were marvelous! My niece's class danced and sang to "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth"...very appropriate, since most of them were missing a few baby teethe...so adorable. The older girls were budding "Rockettes"...they also did some terrific tumbling routines. It was such a magical day!
And, then there's today! My 83-year-old delusional roommate is going a bit over the edge from all the meds. In addition, they draw blood every other day, because there's something out of whack. It's almost 80° in the room, and she's claiming she's freezing. I don't think the temperature has anything to do with it...I believe it's the blood disorder.
So, I'm minding my own business, sitting at my pc...all of a sudden, I feel a cold, clammy hand on my neck! I darned near jumped out of my skin! She was trying to prove to me how cold it is! I really think the old crone is dead...
...just too stubborn to lay down!
OK...I'm off to Sunday Social for some coffee and goodies. See ya later!

No whines yet this eve but discovered my dog likes dill pickles! Never heard of a dog who liked pickles, especially such sour pickles as dill. He is devoted tho and will even eat lettuce if I give it to him. So maybe he ate the pickle just cause I gave it to him and not because he liked it.
Oh I do have a whine after all. We're getting an arctic cold front with strong winds and it's making the wind chill to 20 below. I hate it for making the heat bill go up. I can feel a breeze from the cracks around the windows and doors. Makes me feel bad for all the backyard dogs in cold climates.

It's cold here as well, least. I don't like this weather. I'm ready for spring...birds singing, beautiful (and smelly) flowers, thunderstorms...light, warm breezes...

Bah, Bam, I'm with ya on the shopping. I have to finish up shopping for my husband and I'm dreading it.
It's freakin' cold here, too. Not as cold as some other places, but cold still. I'm a summer girl! Don't like winter AT ALL.

The Christmas Coma has come upon me. I left to go shopping in the afternoon, it was bright & sunny so I put on my sunglasses. I did my shopping, and hours later left the store & walked to the car in the pitch dark. When I looked in my rearview mirror I saw that I was still wearing my sunglasses. How could I not have realized it? Kinda scary.

the ride to NYC Airport this morning was a hoot!
it was snowing, raods still icy from last night...
wipers on car blew!, no squirts fluids...
whining kid in back seat
a gab'y mother that i asked to help read the signs, and was busy yap'n on her cell phone
and Then!
on the way back i couldnt find the correct entrance, wouln up in Queens, stoped at a Dunkin Donuts to ask directions (no map)
and not one person new not only where Conn. was, they didn't know what it was!
wound up in the China Town of Queens!
the worst part, i couldn't smoke in the car!

but it is her anger from her going through a divorce-not the greatest time of year for it! Doing my best to just breathe and walk away when I cannot handle the nasty stuff spewing-She can say very hurtful things because she is hurting-Does not make it right but, I can understand-
