Just did an experiment with diabetic dog. I gave him one pain/anti inflammatory pill and will let him climb the stairs in one hour to see if he's more able to climb when not in pain. If so, perhaps meds for arthritis?
Just came back from Dem HQ and they gave me an Obama poster to keep! Also gave me a yard sign to send to sister so she can frame it and hang it on the wall. She will be happy for that.
Feeling a bit better, but need to walk the dogs before I feel really better.
Don't want to drink, but forgot my doctor gave me a tiny scrip for anti anxiety, so have a few ativan to get me thru today and tomorrow. That will help. Maybe I won't feel like I'm spinning like a psychotic top.

bostonluv...sadly, if it's anything similar to here, your slum lord boss most likely pays off the local inspector to look the other way. Otherwise, you could make an "anonymous" complaint, and get the sub-standard living conditions remedied.
Is she a senior citizen? Do you have a senior advocacy office there? Does she have any relatives, power of attorney...anyone who can represent her with the authorities? She's probably afraid he'll find an excuse to put her out (or make her life hell), if she makes waves.
Some landlords can be absolute bast$rds...just out for the almighty dollar. I know...I used to have one.

I O Storm I just came home and read this and am so glad I didn't have liquids in my mouth. I would have spit it out all over the computer. I totally pictured several people reading that and making horrible faces that I'm glad I didn't see.

Thank you though. That was so funny..it literally made my day!!! Jersey...I am quietly helping her. I trhink we'll work it out just yet. Sometimes you have to just kind of tip toe around the rules....I'll keep you guys updated for sure. She's a special lady to me. She feeds me when I come see her so....my loyalty can be bought with chocolate chip cookies. I know that now.

I'd love to see a cure or preventive in my lifetime. I hate what it's doing to my beloved dog!

Just beginning to get the feelings back in the lower half of my face after my dentist appt, and then my power went out for a second, just long enough to mess up my exhaust fan. Had to take it out of the window to see if it worked elsewhere - it did. Then had to put it back in. It's crucial as it's in my den, the only room in my house where I smoke, and need it to keep the smoke out of the house.
Glad it still works, tho it's a pain to take out and put back in!

No Food (going to Salvation Army)
No Work
Daughter wont talk to me
Yesterday cut financial ties with my daughter as its part of unhealthy dynamics
Member said I am not working the steps properly (I am to teh best of my ability, or I woudl be using by now)
Can't pay any bills
Phone and Internet will go soon
And yet I am ok with all of this and am getting the help of a finacial counsellor and hoping I will get a centerlink payment today!
I am not ok with the interal upheaval but believe its all part of my recovery and today I am trying to look after myself and get back some balance
